Has Anyone Ever Got Light AF And Been PG

Wishful thinking... - May 4

Am wondering if it is a myth - or if anyone has ever got a light AF and still been pregnant? I am not talking about light implantion bleeding - I am talking about actual/definite AF - at the proper due date - but still discover they are pregnant? Or know of anyone this happened to. Just wondering if this is possible?

If you are coming off the pill it is pretty normal to have a very light AF for a few months. That being said it is still posible. Take a test if you are curious, but if you are coming off the pill it is probably just your body adjusting.

Jen, no - have been off the pill for years...do you know if it is possible? I had an appt for a blood test tmrw - so don't know whether to still go - or not. AF is unusually light, took ages to arrive after the usual warning signs. So don't want to be unrealistic, but just wondering if it is in fact possible to get AF and still be pregnant??

It is possible. Do you have other symptoms? Have you taken a home test?

Not really had other symtoms - a few things I could name but possibly just looking for symptoms - nothing concrete. How do you know it is possible to have AF and be pregnant?

I have read a lot during this process and some women get their period for all of or a good portion of their pregancy, so it is definately possible. If you are concerned you should take a test.

Thanks Jen - I left a msg with the nurse I was due to see tomorrow, so am expecting a call back. Will discuss with her and see if she thinks I should still test. just anxious and wondering. Thanks again for your help...
