How Do You Treat Breakouts

Hey Ladies, I read somewhere that if you are pregnant you should not use benzoyle peroxide or salasylic acid on your face to treat pimples. I usually have very clear skin but have been battling pimples at the end of each cycles since ttc. I'm scared to use any products on my face just in case I am pg (4dpo today btw). Have you ladies found anything that works to get rid of pimples that is also not harmful to the fetus?

toothpaste will dry them out. Just dab it on where needed- don't smear it all over your face haha. that's what my mom was told to do when she was a teenager, apparently it works. I use clean and cleat astringent. You can puta few drops on a cotton ball and put it directly on the blemish so you don't have to cover your face with it... does that help?

I checked with my doctor and she said there's no reason why you can't use products with salisylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Almost all acne products face wash, lotions, astringents, contain one of those ingredients. It's just one of those things where they haven't done clinical testing on it, but there has never ever been a case of either causing miscarriages, birth defects, premature labor, etc. I've even read before you shouldn't wear makeup during pregnancy.

Awesome! Thanks Ladies! I feel silly right now becuase I went to work today with 4 pimples on my face and felt like there was nothing that I could do about it. I swear I think that I look like a pubescent little girl!
