Good morning girls. Well now I am 3 days late. Woke up with slight nausea and last night had the wierdest cramps through my midsection. Almost felt like different sections of my abdominal muscles were contracting at different times, almost tingling/numbing feeling. So I woke up this morning and took a test...BFN....has anyone else kept getting BFN in early stages of pregnancy. I have a doc appt next wednesday but am going crazy now! I really would appreciate any help. By the way, believe it or not but this is the first month I have ever been late.

Maddie, I am a__suming that you are ttc? Please remember that pregnancy tests don't work for every women, there are reports of some women who have been 3-4 months pregnant before testing positive. So please keep you Dr.'s appointment and proceed as though you may just be pregnant. Also if you af is late and that never happens, it's a good sign!!! Good luck and LOADS of baby dust to you!!!!

If anyone else has any info on how late they were before testing positive I'd appreciate it. I feel like I'm about to lose it. :))

There are cases where women test negative, even well into a pregnancy but they are very rare! Either you ovulated late for whatever reason, and it was a little too early to test, or your AF is delayed for hormonal reasons. In some cases ectopics come up negative in the beginning but that's pretty rare too. Unfortunately more often than not, being late and negative, really does mean negative and you get your period a little later. It sucks when this happens but next month things will likely be back on track and you could get pregnant then. Fingers crossed!!
