Thanks for reading my post. I am a bit confused on this whole temp thing as I am just starting to play around with it so I am ready to really do it come nxt cycle, if need be. I woke up and took my temp and it was 98.1. CAn anyone explain what exactly I am looking for with this whole temp thing? I am about 1 week until af (no signs) but I think my temp is supposed to be high right now, isnt it??? any info on bbt would be greatly appreicated. for example, when do i do it (like once daily?) what is it supposed to be doing while i am ovulating? before af? pregnant? thanks again.

GM MGN~I have been temping for some months now. I found out it helps let me know when I am ready to ovulate and that took me a couple months to get used to the ups & downs of the temp...The first part of the cycle it is low and then when ovulating it goes high...It should stay high after ovulating and maybe have a dip in temps when implanting occurs which should be around dpo 6-12. Ii myself temps drop after those days I know af will be here with in days. I have a a acct with fertility friends and track my temps on there. This month I am not really keeping alot of info because I am depressed at the fact that all the effort I put into my chartting I did not get pg but cut and paste this and look at my chart and see how the temps can change through out the month and where abouts it happens...I hope I helped you out some... http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/11426e Take out any dashes in the site that does not belong. Ususally happens in fertilityfriend. Good Luck. I hope I am right.

Take your temp once daily, before eating, drinking, talking or even getting out of bed. We can't tell you anything about that temp, because one temp doesn't mean anything. What were your temps like a couple weeks ago? A week ago? Whether or not 98.1 is a high or low temperature depends on your average follicular phase temp and luteal phase temp.

By the way, try doing some creative searches in the search box at the top of the page. This topic has been discussed ad infinitum, so there's already a wealth of information about it on this forum.
