Is It Too Late For BDing By The Time I Have Ovulation Pains

I was just wondering in what order everything happens? By the time I have O pains, is it too late to TTC? Or is it perfect timing? Also, when is my temp supposed to spike, now or when it's too late? I read that by the time your temps reach there highest, ovulation has already taken place, and the opportunity has been missed. Is that true?

Hey catsmeow...it is too late when your temps have remained elevated for 3 days..you should continue to bd until you see the sustained raise in temps. But yes in a perfect situation once your temps rise .3 degrees above your past 6 temps, then ovulation has taken place. But for example last month I had a temp rise for 2 days then a drop, and then an increased sustained rise following. On the day of the drop I got a positve OPK which ment I ovulated after the 2 high temps. Sorry if I am confusing you?? When do you normally ovulate in your cylce? How long have you been TTC? Plus I normally get o pains 4-5 days before I actually ovulate...with sharper pains and bloating on the exact day. Hopefully this helps.
