I just read where cervix should be closed in pregnancy. Then I heard it would be closed when you are about to start your period? I don't even know where in the heck my cervix is? Can someone please tell me? How far 'up' do you have to go to feel it? And how can you tell if it is open or closed. I am new to this whole baby making thing and I would really love to know this. Thanks.

when you are ovulating, your cervix will be extreamly high and open, and then becomes hard and closed, closer to time of af it will move down, and then open for you to release your uterine lining, and all of that, if you are pregnant, it will stay hard and closed, but i dont know what position it will be in, meaning low or high, i hope that i have helped some, i am not sure though how to describe where your cervix is located though. good luck in your journey with ttc! you have come to a great forum!

To find your cervix you need to start in a sitting or squatting position. Insert a clean finger into your v____a and you will feel your cervix at about a finger-length in. It feels like a little half a ball. When you are ovulating, it feels soft (like your bottom lip) and a bit slippery (from the extra mucus) and is quite high up and hard to reach. At other times it feels harder (like the end of your nose) and sits lower (closer to the opening of your v____a). I hope this helps. For more info just google "cervix position fertility" and you'll find heaps of stuff. Good luck!
