ok some of you may have seen my posts about my cp doing something funny and being high and soft during my AF this past weekend. That AF was also short lived and accompanied by tons of ewcm. Dr's office told me that I was probably shedding an unviable egg due to my age... but reading a post by nola-gal sparked my memory that I also felt ovulation pains during this AF - I just thought it was odd cramping at the time. Intrigued by this, because I was pretty confident that I had just o'd 2 wks prior, I just researched ovulation during periods and discovered something called the "natal lunar phase". It turns out that I most likely had spontaneous ovulation because of the full moon last weekend! I was born during a full moon and per yoni.com/wombmoon/wmlunarfertile.shtml (take out any and all dashes) you can spontaneously ovulate during the phase of the moon that you were born in - even if you have your period! This is incredible! This does not only apply to full moons, it can happen during any phase of the moon, because it is based on what the moon was doing when you were born. If you are not sure what your moon sign is, you can again remove any dashes and go here lunarium.co.uk/sign.php and compare the sign with your sun sign (the one you check your horoscope with) ... the chart on (again remove all dashes) yoni.com/wombmoon/wmlunarfertile.shtml will show you when you may be likely to spontaneously ovulate! So now that I'm ttc, in addition to bd'ing during my regular ovulation, I''m going to make sure to do it during the full moon... I am kind of excited that I just figured this out, and feel that I am really rambling... so if I confused anyone, I'd be glad to help you figure out the moon phase that you may spontaneously ovulate in if you post your birthday, year, time of birth, and timezone. Good luck!!!! :)

Info from the link I posted above: This is called the Lunar Fertile Cycle and means that every month when the Moon is in the same phase as it was when you were born, even if you are menstruating, you are potentially fertile and can become pregnant. It seems at birth, a process is initiated where the Moon phase stimulates certain biochemical and hormonal states in the body. This forms a physiological cycle that starts at birth, is triggered at puberty and continues until death. The Lunar Fertile Period is a 'potentially' fertile time. Spontaneous ovulation triggered by s_xual stimulation or orgasm can happen with the moon in the same phase as it was at your birth. The researchers found that abstaining from s_x or using contraceptives during the Lunar Fertile Period, as well as in the time of ovulation (calculated from the rhythm method), brought the success rate from 30-85% to 98%. The same study in Britain showed that sperm count in men is increased up to tenfold when a man is in his Lunar phase."

Sure Kelsa! Your sun sign is Capricorn, and per the info you gave me, the website says your moon sign is Sagittarius. So when looking at that chart on the first page, your natal lunar cycle appears to be when it is a dark moon - just before the new moon. Do you have a desk calendar that shows you what the moon cycles are doing?

almanac.com/astronomy/moon/index.php and remove dashes to see the calendar of the moon! Kelsa... it looks like 12/7- 12/11 would be your natal lunar cycle this month!

thank you!!! and no, but i'm going to find some sort of almanac website and log it into my daily planner that for some reason does not have this info!!!

I know isn't it freaky? Heck, even though it's not guaranteed...it's nice to know that a *possible* second chance exists.. ;) Except now I'm wondering if I caught THIS eggie ... hahaha...

well i sure hope that you did!!! i was telling dh about it and he had to crack a joke, since i've been investigating all of this pregnancy and fertility stuff that he's going to get bh once this month and it's going to be on that particular day that i think it's time and since eggs are only available 12-24 hrs to be fertilized i'm going to call him in the middle of work and say BABY COME HOME IT'S TIME!! lol. i had to giggle. this month, will be bd as often as possible due to we really want this!!

lol show him the part about orgasms bringing on the spontaneous ovulation! Another reason to bd as much as possible ;)

kelsajo - December 1

yeah, the problem with that is i don't orgasm.

oh honey we have to do something about that! not only because it's amazing, but because it helps push those spermies towards the egg! and also b/c it brings on this spontaneous thing! Have you heard of Dr. Laura Berman? She is always on Good Morning America... check out her website drlauraberman.com/PublicSite/Index.aspx (again taking out dashes if they appear)... she has tips!!

ROFL, I just showed this to my husband and the only part he got from it was the part that says "The same study in Britain showed that sperm count in men is increased up to tenfold when a man is in his Lunar phase." So now he wants me to figure out when his "stud sperm" phase is! LOL
