Does anyone know if it's possible to get negatives on opk but still be ovulating? I'm waiting 4 hours without eating or drinking before testing so as not to dilute the sample, but I'm supposed to ovulate tomorrow and test is still showing NOTHING! I've never tried these things before and am getting anxious!! Thanks heaps for any info...

Maybe you don't ovulate when you think you do. Are you watching cervical mucus and position? Start temperature charting at fertilityfriend.com and when you have your cycle understood, use the OPK as a final timing device. Good luck!

Lynette - I got my first +opk last Saturday - up to that point they were all BIG TIME negative! But, yes, you can ovulate without getting a +opk. Are you charting temps too?

*sigh* - well... yes I started to chart temps and was all excited and joined Fertility Friend and everything, and then discovered (after recording 37.8 degrees celcius for 3 days straight) that my thermometer was broken!! And I can't track cervical mucus because I carry the cystic fibrosis gene, which affects your mucus (I never get the egg-white thing!). I've been checking cervix position, and yes Grandpa Viv, last month it did indeed seem that it was high and soft for the two days following the day I thought I should be ovulating. Problem is, I have a very regular 28 day cycle, so if I ovulate later than day 14 does that mean that my luteal phase is too short? I very much appreciate your input. :-)
