I hear ya Helen. I was on the pill for 12 years so I wasn't really expecting this to be easy. I'm sure it will take some time. I've just always been the kind of person who wants what they want when they want it! Waiting is not one of my strengths! :)

Sounds great. Our big day was stressful to plan because we ended up inviting so many people. But I wouldn't change a thing because I loved absolutely every minute. It really does end up being the happiest thing ever. I'm, happier with the memory of it than the anticipation though! Probably the same story with ttc.

I think the thing is worrying for years you might fall accidentally preggo and panicking about it and then now realising it isn;t so easy. I always had this inckling I was ultra fertile!!!

Well, my cramps are really hurting and I want to go home too. My first full day of af always sucks. My cramps can stop me in my tracks from time to time. I want to be in a really hot bath right now. I could really go 9 months without a period about right now!

If we do get married here I don't want a huge, expensive day. I just can't justify spending that kind of money. I want to so it as simple as possible. We both don't have the patience for that. I think after I'm pregnant I will probably look back fondly on all the memories of trying...but right now it's no fun :)

Well, I am from the South so we have big church weddings. There is no way around it. Our families are huge and they all have to be apart of it. I am a planner so I have been done for months. I got i all done the first few months so all i have to worry about is last minute details. Now, ttc is a whole different story. You cant plan for any of it really. I wish that you can just pick a day and say I want to be pregnant on this day. That would be great!

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the full on cramps...that should be tomorrow or Wednesday. Af isn't fully here yet. I probably wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't tried checking my cervix again. Well it's best I know now rather than wait 2 days to be disappointed. Being a girl sucks!! why do we have to do all this work. My bf has no understanding of what we go through. He only has the one job to do. My next life I'm coming back as a man!! :)

A friend of mine moved to Texas and ended up getting married. I couldn't make it, but I hear they really know how to throw a party down there :) She's so funny...she been down there so long now she's got the accent and everything. Nothing funnier than a Canadian girl with a southern drawl :) I love it :)

I always kid with my fiance about that. I tell him that I should have been born a guy and he should have been a girl. He just laughs. I hate cramping! (I'm gonna start putting df for dear fiance so I dont have to keep typing it.) Df always tries to help by putting his hand on my belly. He just doesnt understand how much it can hurt.

People who move here end up loving it, usually. It is a lot of fun and most of the people are really nice. I guess that is why it is called the "friendship" state. Anyway, southern parties are a blast because it stays warm here most of the year. You can have outside parties all year pretty much. If it gets cold, we'll either start a bonfire or a chiminea. I just made us all sound like a bunch of hicks!

That's funny...I get my bf to do the same thing. He just knows now when I'm hurting to push on my belly now. I can only imagine labour pains. Have you thought about if you would do the epidural thing at all?

Amanda - November 7

Heck yea! I dont want to do natural birth. NO WAY! I will only do that if I have to. I want lots of drugs. My best friend did it both ways and preferred the drugs. I think I will go with that.

Mel - November 7

LOL...we do that in Canada too. It's not uncommon to have a fire in the snow while drinking beer. A fun night in the winter here is going out on the skido, coming back to a bonfire and drinking and partying...give a Canadian a beer and we're happy...that and hockey :) Who's the hick now??

Helen - November 7

I would just say get it out quick. So many people are hung up with the natural birth idea, aren't they? I've though ti through alotand, actually have decided to block the whole labour idea out of my head. I;m gonna love having a blossoming belly and a beauriful baby but hate the delivery......I feel like the three of us really are experiencing the same thing here, makes it easier to deal with, you know.

When I was at the doctor's the other day she told me my tattoo on my lower back may get in the way of an epidural...what have I done?!?!?

Helen - November 7

I went to a bonfire party on Saturday and didn;t drink so I could drive dh and his friends home (they all kept asking when the baby was coming I just denied denied denied!) Except they all got silly with the fireworks after a while.
