Progesterone Cream During LP A Good Idea

Pardon me if this question has been posed over and over again. I was wondering if anyone has been successful conceiving after using progesterone cream during her luteal phase. My average LP is 12 days, but I'm more concerned about my post-O temps. They usually don't get much higher than 98.0. Is that not a sign of low progesterone? Anyone use natural progesterone cream and get her BFP? Thanks so much!

Sorry to bump so soon, but I was hoping to order some in the next day or so to start using by 1 dpo...that is if anyone can recommend it.

Projesterone is a natural substance (be sure not to get the synthetic kind) that thickens your lining and increases your blood flow. It can therefore help prevent m/c. Many doctors prescribe progesterone for women who are in early pg just to be on the safe side. My RE prescribed it for me during my LP while I was undergoing fertility treatments. I've known a couple of women on here who have gotten pg with the cream. You taking it during your LP certainly could not hurt! :o)

Hi Daphne, My temps are really low post o as well. I've been tested for hypo-throidism and all hormones checked out fine. Do you know if there is another reason why temps would be so low? I had a ten day LP but i started taking Bcomplex vitamens that's helped in increasing LP time, a little two much it seems, but post o temps are still soo, higher than when i first startign temping. just wondering if you have more info about all this as well....i want to try p cream as well but too afraid, some have said it'll delay af.....

Sims1, I have heard you must stop using the progesterone cream on day 26 or 27 of your cycle so it does not delay AF. If you don't stop taking it, your body is "tricked" into thinking it is pregnant and AF won't show. Someone please correct me if I am wrong! I look at so many charts (pg and non-pg) that have post-o temps of 98.2, 98.3, 98.5. Mine are always just above 98 at the highest. I already take B6. Think I'm going to try the cream. Keeli, which brand did you use?

I used Prometrium. You will get af if you keep taking it. I took it all the way until I got af, and it was not delayed. Some women take it to jump start af, by taking it for several days and then stopping, but you will still get af (if you ovulated) if you keep taking it. I always did, and my RE told me to take it that way.

Keeli, have you conceived on the prometrium?
