Answer: Hello, My name is Monica and i am 17. I live in Wisconsin. I think i might be pregnant but i am unsure. Here are my symptoms about why i think this way...... My last normal period was August 26th ( so i am not late ) I am suppose to get it around next friday. On the 14th and 15th.... (yesterday and the day before ) i noticed that i was spotting. This was really unusual to me considering my period ain't supposed to be here yet. I have also noticed that lately my appet_te has changed dramatically, i have back pains. I also have cramps... a lot like menstrual cramps.. they hurt really bad sometimes it is hard to move. I don't really know if you can help me or not but i would really appreciate if you could e-mail me and let me know either way... my e-mail is [email protected] Thank you so much, Monica

OOPS! Monica, I put 3 to 2 odds on you being pregnant. You don't say when you had s_x. I am thinking you had a contraceptive malfunction during Labor Day week. You ovulated August 8th (Day 14) and implantation started August 15th, which would have caused the spotting. Symptoms would have started at that time. Look for tiredness, frequent urination, sore b___bs, dreams (I'm collecting dreams, let me know) , gas to name a few. Do not mess with home pregnancy tests (First Response) until your period is good and late ( I guess Sunday 26th is OK) and make sure to read the instructions carefully, using first pee in the morning. False negatives are not infrequent. False periods sometimes occur.

Viv i appreciate the advice so much.. i was always told that you can only get pregnant on or around the ovulation date... labor day weekend would make sense though cause i did have s_x that weekend... i also had s_x the 10th, 11th and 12th of september. Are my odds better that i got pregnant on labor day or ovulation and if i did get pregnant right after ovulation should i already be spotting?!?!?!

Tell your friends that sperm lasts 5 days in your reproductive tract, waiting for the egg to come. Also the egg some months comes as much as 3 days early (or late). Your fertile window is from Day 8 to Day 15 at least half of the time. Like 10% of the time it is from Day 6 to Day 18. Take a look at the info at .... .... Pa__s the word that a safe regime for young folks is contraceptive foam for heavy petting, foam plus condom for genital contact, and go to the movies instead for Days 8 - 15. If you hear of anyone getting pregnant using that, I want to hear about it. To answer your specific question, it would have been the Labor Day episode. Sept 10 -12 the egg would have pa__sed on already, and anyway, if that were conception you would not have had symptoms so soon. As to did I get pregnant at ovulation - well yes, the sperm penetrates the egg during the 24 - 36 hours it is in the fallopian tube. Count 266 days to your due date. However, the medical profession refers to pregnancy as starting on the first day of the last menstrual period, mostly for convenience, and then counts 280 days. A doctor would say that you are currently 3 weeks pregnant. Confused? I sent you my e-mail address. Please keep in touch.

Can someone tell me what's going on with my body??????????? I have gotten my period. I recieved my period on the 19th but still have all the symptoms along with sore b___sts now... please tell me what's going on with my body

Sorry but if you don't know whats going on and its your own body how can we possibly tell over the internet?? It could be one of many things, for instance your diet or something happening with your hormones. You need to book an appointment with your doctor and see what they say. They may refer you for tests to get to the bottom of it.
