I Know I Seem Naive But

Heya, I feel like I am forever asking questions about contraception and I must sound sooo clueless but I'm just realllly paranoid about pregnancy (I mean, don't get me wrong I really want a family but right now with university and everything, it's not what I need). Two questions, however: (1) Does anyone know if the effectiveness of the pill is affected by things like fatigue or your immune system? (for example, if I've been really tired lately or something does it's effectiveness decrease?) (2) Discussing the withdrawal method and pre-c_m with my friends, if you have s_x but he doesn't climax, is there a high chance of pregnancy from his pre-c_m? Sorry for these seemingly random questions. Sometimes I think that although s_x is really enjoyable and it's a way to be close to my partner, me being so paranoid really makes me wonder if I'm ready in the first place. Anywho, I'd appreicate your thoughts!

to answer your first question, fatigue doesn't affect the effectiveness of the pill. The only thing that i know will do that is antibiotics. But some one feel free to correct me. And as far as pre c_m getting you pregnant i'd say if you don't want to get pregnant don't pull out, use a condom. On your pill pack there is usually statistics about other birth control methods and mine says theres like an 85% chance you'll get pregnant within the first year using this method. Since your really worried about getting pregnant, like you said, you might not be ready for to have s_x. With s_x, theres always a risk, and in my opinion the risk of getting an STD scares the hell out of me. So i suggest you get your guy checked out. I don't want to sound like your mom or anything but to me this is really really important because most girls are worried about getting pregnant but they could also get an STD thats going to stay with them FOREVER, like herpes or HIV. I hope i helped

If you have been taking the pill religiously and doing pull-out too, the chance of pregnancy is pretty small. Pull-out alone is not safe - there is too much of a chance of s____n getting mixed in with the Cowper gland fluid with extended foreplay. Play it safer and do pill plus condom and the chance is even smaller. Remember there is a big difference between the success rates of these contraceptive methods practiced perfectly and "as commonly practiced". More at www.ppowb.org/gv and good luck!

well, if you want the honest truth... make sure u use as many forms as possible. i was on the pill and used a condom. the condom split and apparently i am some tiny percent of the earth's population that the pill wont work for. if you arent ready for the pregnancy option, i would just not do it. i got pregnant, and was safe and have only had s_x 4 times in my life. fancy that, but that's life. be careful. percentages that seem high throw some people for a loop when the test comes back positive! good luck!
