Nope, you're not alone! I too am thirsty all the time!! I can't get enough water! I'm on an online mom's group and we've all been talking about the same thing and it seems everyone is extremely thirsty!!

Not to scare you, but extreme thirst can be a sign of placental abruption, but if you're having that, you'll probably have other symptoms like spotting/bleeding, abdominal pain, and a contraction that doesn't let up. If you're having any other strange signs, call your doc just to make sure. Personally, I'm almost 37 weeks, and right about the time I buckled down and started drinking more water when I was about 30 weeks along, I started getting more thirsty in between drinks. I think my body got used to the increased fluids, and if I wasn't drinking water all the time, I was always thirsty. You're probably fine, but I wanted to let you know about the abruption possibility too, but remember it's only a possibility.

Personally I'm not having any of those symptoms but it's always good to know what to look for. Thanks Buffi.

I drink water all day long it has to be ice water... nothing else cures my thirst...I was at dh best friends house last nite and just stayed next to his fridge most of the night filling my cup with ice and water from the ice maker....severe thirst can also be a sign of diabetes but I pa__sed my test so I think its just our lo's way of saying water mommy we need more water...lol
