I will be 36 weeks on Wednesday and I was at the dr. this past Thursday which was just over 35 weeks and I was measuring 44 weeks. I have to go back this week for an ultra sound to check the fluid. I am so big and miserable. Any one else having the same problem?

At around 24 weeks, I measured 5 weeks ahead, then at 26 weeks, I measured 4 weeks ahead. We did a growth ultrasound at 27-1/2 weeks to check everything out and the baby and amniotic fluid levels were just fine. The baby's weight did measure in the 83rd percentile of normal (which is on the large side of normal) but they said anything within the normal range is fine. Also, my due date is accurate because I was doing ovulation predicting when I got pregnant so we know exactly how far along I am, so the big measurements I had before apparently didn't mean anything. I think I wear my baby like a watermelon, long up & down, so that might be why I measured so big. The measurements are very often way off.

Thank you both very much. Buffi, I was told earlier in my pregnancy that I was measuring a few weeks too big and they thought it was the way the baby was positioned and then I was right on until now, so maybe it is just the way he is positioned. Thank you!!!!

With my 3rd I was measuring 40 weeks at 32. I don't recall hearing measurements after the 32 week mark, but I was huge. I feel kind of bad answering your question 'cause I don't want to scare you... my son was 10 lbs. 6 oz. and 22 3/4"! But, I know of people who seemed really big and just had lots of fluid and some who were expecting 10 lbers. and got 6 lbers' lol. Anyway, good luck with your delivery!!

Nicole you may just be having a big baby as well. I measured 4-5 weeks ahead all the way through my preg and the 36 week US estimated his weight to be at 8lbs8oz. He was born at 39 weeks and weighed 10lbs8oz. He is very healthy now despite the tachypnea he had at birth

Thank you all for the responses. I have an ultra sound Thursday so I hope to find out whether my measuring too big is due to the weight of the baby, the amount of fluid, or the position of the baby. I will keep you posted. Thanks again!!
