Are These Contractions Help

They started last night while I was trying to sleep. They aren't painful....but annoying. Feels more like pressure down there. They do hurt a little....but like I said...more annoying then anything. And since I've been up this morning....they come every few minutes. I live an hour away from the hospital thats why I'm so nervous. I was due May 17th...and I'm getting induced tomorrow morning.... Do you think these are contractions?? And do I wait for them to get painful before I go in.....? Help. Thanks

I'd call the hospital's L&D and see what they have to say. Some people don't have painful contractions and being overdue this could be the start for you. Good luck!

sounds like it might be the beginning, but probably not, the pain should be more then pressure downwards, you'll feel it all over : ]

I'd call your doc or go in on the safe side. The first stage of labor isn't always necessarily "painful". SInce you are full term, why take the chance? HOpe it's the beginning for you! : )

Well they aren't as close together as they were this morning....so I'm sort of holding off. When I get them...its like cramps....pressure down low...and my stomach gets completely hard. I just hope I can get some sleep tonight....since I'm going to have a long day tomorrow....

sounds like braxton hicks...... my doc said that if they are regular and consistantly at least 5-8 min apart, than you shouldnt go. but i would at least go get checked out if i wasnt sure. ecspecially if you live an hour away.
