Baby Bjorn Active Carrier Vs Regular Baby Bjorn

I am going to get a baby bjorn carrier for when I go on walks with my little girl. I live in a neighborhood that does not have sidewalks, and I know it will be a hassle using my stroller all the time b/c of the narrow roads. I know baby bjorn is one of the best you can get, and since I plan on walking allot.....I think it will be worth the investment. the main question I have is.....Is it worth spending extra on the "sporty" version" which goes for $120 in target, or does the regular baby bjorn just as good (it goes for $79 in target)? The only bad thing I have heard about the regular one is that it can cause back ache.....that is why some people think it is worth spending a little more on the active one that has better back supports? Does anyone have one of these and can give me any feedback?

I'm not really sure what added benefits the more expensive model has. I have the regular one and I love it. My dd is 5 1/2 mths old and she may start to really outgrow it here within the next month. I used it all the time especially for grocery shopping or really anytime you need to use a cart. My carseat does not have a lock on it for the front of the cart and I'm surely not going to put the seat on top anyway...she'll fall off. If I place the seat in the cart I really can't fit much else in, so thr bjorn works perfectly. To be honest, my dd loves it too...I think it's because she can see all around her and she feels like a big girl.

pbj- thanks for your response. Has the regular one ever caused you back pain? do you go on long walks with it, or mainly use it for going to stores?
