I have read in books that you should feel the baby move ten times an hour. Maybe when I am laying down I feel it 5 times and hour. But when I am at work or on my feet alot I hardly feel much movement. I will be 34 weeks this friday. Should I be concerned??

You do not have to feel the baby move 10 times every hour...that would be crazy, we would never get any rest...as long as she/he moves (est) 10-12 times in a 10 hr period I believe...ask your doc/midwife they can tell you exact...and remember as you get bigger the baby usually moves a little less due to less room in there...object is to make sure he/she is moving regularly, and to be able to note if you havent felt a kick in quite a while...then you should worry..good luck, I'm a week behind you but hoping I go a little early...I'm ready to get her out here...

You dont have to feel the baby 10 times an hour. My doctor informed me that you should feel the baby move 4 times an hour, 3 times a day. And you should check this after you have eaten and are relaxed. When you are moving around alot, you wont feel it as much. But 10x in an hour is way too much...4 x an hour is good. I am 37 weeks, and this is what I go by. Hope this helps.
