Baby S Fast Heartbeat

I'm 32 weeks and 2 days and Sarah's hb is usually around 150 to 160. 120 to 140 if sleeping. I've rented a doppler and it was 170 +. Then I''ve been checking it and it ''s back ddown. Should I be concerned with these 170's readings? I've had more than one over a few days.

No, I wouldn't be concerned. A baby's heartbeat is extremely fast when it is active and slower when sleeping. 170 is not uncommon and only signals activity. Just keep testing it should drop periodically during the day. Remember, that a fetus' heartbeat is like a little birdy, they beat FAST...and oh yeah, you are having a GIRL!

Last week I was in the hopital for a nst and my baby boys hb was 170+ I was also concerned and they said it was normal when the baby is active, I don't know why there would be a difference in a boy or a girls heartbeat, anyway if your really concerned call your dr.

Ginni, I would pack that doppler away or turn it back into wherever you rented it. It will only stress you out. Just concentrate on feeling baby move and try and relax. Same with obsessively reading all the books (which I did the first 6 months) I was paranoid about EVERYTHING. I measured my b___bs every couple weeks and freaked out when they had shrunk a half inch (which was probably the bra I was wearing anyway). The gadgets are cool and its great to be educated but sometimes we worry too much.
