I was rolling over in the middle of the night and had a charlie horse on either side of my stomach!!! I went to the doctor yesterday for my NST and my nurse said that my uterus was having a lot of activity. I had two contractions in the 20 min that I was there. She told me she wouldn't be the least bit surprised if I were to go in the next couple of days!!! Yikes! Wasn't ready to here that. Im not due until Halloween. I've been having contractions (painless) up the ying yang. Has anyone else experienced a charlie horse in their belly?

I remember with dd, that my contractions, the more intense they got, felt like a charliehorse all over my belly. Infact, when people ask me what my contractions felt like, that's the a___logy I always use.

What do you mean using 'charlie horse' and 'painless' in the same sentence!! I have' t had this yet, but find regular charlie horses to be excrutiating pain!!!! Do they really not hurt that bad? I've heard from some they feel liuke charlie horses, some say they feel like the worst period cramps you could imagine. I can handle the horrible feeling period cramps but imagine yelling in pain with anything that feels like a Charlie Horse! Now I'm scared...

I have never had period cramps, so labor with my daughter and son was full of new feelings...lol I would say a charliehorse is a fairly accurate description of a contraction. They start mild at first, then get intense. Good luck.
