Complete Lack Of Sleep

I'm 30 weeks and have not slept well throughout my pregnancy. At the moment though I can't even get an hours sleep a night. I am completely restless and end up walking around my house trying to tire myself out. Also I can never get comfortable. I normally sleep on my back but I know it's not advised so I am tossing on turning from one side to the next. I have to get up for work early and so am completely exhausted throughout the day. Does anyone know if all this lack of sleep might be affecting my baby? Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm 36 weeks and having the same problem. If I do fall asleep I only sleep for about 2 or 3 hours then I'm up walking around. If your problem is trying to get comfortable, try a body pillow. You can put it under your belly and between your knees. My midewife has joked that my body is trying to prepare itself for when the baby arrives, since sleep is rare.
