Hey Ladies, I am hoping to conceive a girl this time (I have 2 sons..one by birth another through marriage). I was wondering if any of you had done anything special when ttc to become pregnant with a girl. I'd of course be thrilled with either gender but thought that it'd be fun to at least try to increase my odds!

yeah...got pregnant this year, lol.there seems to be lots of girls this year. No,there is no definate way, you could try that chinese lunar calender thing,it doesn't work for everyone but it seems to have the most success.

We are having a girl too. This is our first but we just had lots of s_x. haha I have heard that you can try to time s_x just right to have a girl. I have heard from alot of people that male sperm are faster swimmers but die quicker and that female sperm are slower but last longer. So in theory if you have s_x before your O date then the majority of male sperm will have died giving the female the lead. That is just what I have read and heard from people. I dont know if it works or not. GL though and I hope you get that girl!

Thanks! I have heard about the chinese calender and the slow vs. fast swimmers too :o) In both cases I SHOULD have been able to conceive a girl. The calendar has me conceiving a girl this month plus we had s_x 2 days before O. I'm only 5dpo today though so who knows if anything is even happening! Anyway I thought it'd be fun to see if those tricks actually ever really worked for anyone. Thanks agian for the reply and best wishes for you and your forthcoming bundle of joy!
