Kendra-your post made me laugh so hard I snorted, right now I'm at work and people are looking at me like I'm crazy...oh well, my last weigh in was a whooping 9 pounder, so this one was very pleasing, if I kept on gaining 9 pounds, I'd have pretty much doubled my weight by the time I popped....I do that too though, I was like oh just wait one second, redo, I forgot to take my shoes off, it actually did take a pound off...but I'm still wearing all this heavy clothing, I love your explanation....hilarious...ok I've stopped giggling...I wasn't underweight but I was on the lower side of the weight spectrum for my height/weight pre-pregnancy and it isn't the nurse (she's a sweetie, small asian, actually I'm scared once my stomache gets bigger I won't even be able to see her, just like my feet :) but the receptionist, whose not preggo, but a touch overweight, I feel like she's staring at me, for my first couple of appt's I looked good (nice jeans, no tummy, cute t-shirts and high heels) and I think she's secretly taking pleasure in my demise, as now I show up in maternity clothes that aren't flattering and "fill them out" I think that she took teh job in my doctor's office so that she could watch skinny girls get fat. Crystal-I have no idea how my doc is predicting how much the baby will weigh, I don't think it's accurate, just a guess, now I start going every two weeks, ah rats I have to miss work :) DWC-I hate it when people touch my belly too, so I touch there's they get the hint, usually. At my last family dinner (Thanksgiving-Canadian style) one of my aunts actually pulled up my shirt, I was scared.....and somebody at the mall stopped me and touched my belly asking me when I was due, I told her I wasn't pregnant, just fat...haha...you should have seen the look on her face, I thought she was going to die....it was really great.

You guys are so great! You have made me laugh, thanks. I would never have the nerve to rub someone else's belly. Beth, love the comment to the lady about being fat. I really don't mind people asking me if I am pregnant, just don't touch me. I have got to were if the reach out to touch my belly i back away. I just hate being rude, but I feel they are also. Thanks for the pick me up!

lmrod55 - November 14

Glad to hear your weigh in went well Beth! I have not run into ANYONE that wants to touch my belly...which is interesting! Not a single co-worker, stranger, or family member - maybe it is something about me?? Now on the Dr's appts...I have one on the 29th of this month and then go every two weeks for the month of Dec...then weekly starting in Jan.? Is that how you ladies have your scheduled - or is every doctor different in how they schedule the check-ups?

hey girls, im due the 2nd of feb and had my docs appointment today, she said every thing was great we could even hear baby hiccup when listening to the heart beat which was so cool, i never saw hubby look so proud lol i have one question tho i saw that some of you have appointments every 2 weeks at this stage but my doc told me to come back after 3 weeks even tho im in my 29th week. should i call and make an appointment sooner anyway? or will i just leave it? oh yaeh congrats on entering third trimester everyone, well done and good luck to u all

Crystal - November 14

I'm so glad you guys posted the weight thing. I can't stop giggling because I do the exact same thing when I'm at the doctor's office, just usually in my head until my dh and I are alone waiting for the doc, then for some reason I feel the need to justify my weight gain to him....speaking of which the brat asked me last night why I can't stay the same weight from this point forward...I wish I had a choice in the matter. Jerk. You guys cheered me up though ~ thanks! Beth ~ I can't help but laugh over the fat lady thing. That's great. **Snicker, snort**

Just thought I'd share some good news with you ~ I'm so excited. Remember how I told you I live far away from friends/family + new to the area so no baby shower? Well my cousin just called and they've decided to throw me an "online" baby shower. I go register at the places of my choice, the people order my gifts online, then schedule an appointment with me either via phone, web cam, or instant msg. to have the surprise effect when I open it. This is such a huge relief!! I can't tell you how worried I was trying to figure out how to buy all this stuff on our own!!

Beth - November 14

Crystal-that's so awesome for you...I'm so happy for you!!! In our family/friends it's kinda tradition to throw the baby shower after the babies born, which I totally agreed with until now, I want help buying everything! But, unless by some miracle my stepmom throws one for me before the babies born, I'm stuck having one afterwards, but I'll still have christmas, hopefully I'll get something good to help out...

lmrod55 - November 14

Crystal - That is great news about the online shower...I bet you will receive tons of stuff!! With our first kid we didn't have a shower till after the baby was born - it just worked out that way she came early! Luckily we had some great neighbors and they let us borrow things to get us by till the shower!! My mom also sent an emergency care package the day dd was born, so we had that before we took her home from the hospital. I remember being sooo stressed knowing that I had NOTHING at home for her (not one onsie)...but we had the car seat to take her home! :-)

Happy Tuesday to all, it's a chilly morning here in Texas. I'm going to the doctor today, and dreading it. Aside from that whole weigh in thing (which makes me feel like I'm onstage at a cattle auction, and the nurse may as well be wearing overalls and holding a microphone) - I don't care for my doctor. He is the number one dr. in the city, and highly acclaimed throughout the state - he actually worked with Mother Theresa for awhile, and so everyone keeps telling me how great he is...I still just think he's a little strange! I mean, I've come to realize that any male dr. in this profession is a little off, I just can't get used to it. I had a female gyno, but pretty much the day I found out I was pregnant, she quit delivering babies. Go figure. Anyways, I hope you're all having a good morning, perhaps you'll hear from me again...or perhaps my weigh in will go badly and you'll see me on the news after bludgeoning the nurse with stupid bunny scrubs.

Kendra - November 15

lol - If I make the news, I'll be sure to give a "shout out" to all of you.

Good morning all! Boy am I tired today. It is yukee weather today in MS, humid and above normal temps, we are expecting bad storms throughtout the south today. Anyway, Kendra good luck on your doc appt today. I don't know when I will start the every two weeks visit, I believe it will be around xmas and then every week around mid Jan for me, due Feb 13th. I finally got to go shopping yesterday and got a very few of my xmas presents done. I am dreading getting the rest, I was so bet and my ankles hurt so bad after a 2 hour trip to shop. I think I will try the online thing. Still no word on the baby shower for me yet, still doubtful I will get one. Family has kinda felt withdraw from me lately. The online baby shower sounds cool though, neat idea! It is neat that you got to hear the baby hiccup kad! Check in with you all later! Happy Day!

Good morning ladies ~ well I had fun at Babies R Us last night registering for everything ~ kind of felt bad registering for some of the expensive stuff, but I figure if someone wants to spend it, why not (I don't think they will, but why rule it out, right =o).) My dh tried rushing me through it until I broke down crying, yep right in front of a bunch of people (didn't mean to, just couldn't help it) then he felt bad and we spent another two hours in there. He started getting scan happy towards the end though. We figured maybe these guys can help us get some of the fun stuff too instead of just all basics. Anyway, I'm excited for another reason ~ we had our first snow today and it's still going strong...everyone here at work is complaining, but I LOVE snow. I know, I know, I'm the weird one....but seriously I even took pictures this morning of our puppy in her first snow. So cute. Kendra ~ good luck with the weigh in ~ dwc ~ you're on the ball, I haven't even thought of Christmas presents yet...guess I'd better start figuring something out soon. Oh, my grandma is so sweet, I've been craving huckleberries since I found out I was pregnant so she went out yesterday shopping everywhere (she's in Idaho) and bought be a huckleberry care package and even some treats for dh so he didn't feel left out. I can't wait to get them (she's shipping today so I'm counting down). Guess you can tell I'm in an unusually good mood today. Hope you guys are doing well too!

lmrod55 - November 15

Good morning!! Kendra - good luck at the weigh in...for the nurses sake I hope it goes well ;-). Crystal - Definetly register for those higher priced items...there are usually a few people that will want to "go in" with someone and thus look at the more expensive items! BTW, I don't think you are wierd - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE snow...I did the same thing with our puppies! Of course now that I am in Phoenix I won't be happy a snowy winter - but a short drive and I can find some (still not the same in my opinion). Have a great day everyone!! - ld

lmrod55 - November 15

that would be "having a snowy winter" not "happy". oops!

Beth - November 15

Good Morning Ladies, well maybe I should have just stayed in my second trimester, this third one just hasn't gone well for me yet, I've had 3 break downs in the last 3 days...no good, I didn't have a single one in the second trimester. Anyways, Kendra I'll be sure to watch the news tonight...some good could come out of you bludgeoning a stupid nurse...of course you know the media would make it all you fault and "those pregnancy hormones" when really the stupid pink bunny nurse outfit is all a cover....soon people will know not to treat pregnant ladies like their on display. But for your sake, and so the baby doesn't have to be born in prison (although a cute lil prison onesie would be adorable) I hope your weigh in goes well. I personally have no idea what to do for christmas, I can't afford christmas, I broke down this morning because I don't know how we're going to afford a baby without me working too, we are barely making it right now, budget? what budget? I might be on the news for murdering my stupid bf...atleast then no one would expect me to get them christmas presents......oh and if I make it on the news, I'll be sure to give all you ladies a shout out.....It's snowing here, cold, but I like the snow, but it won't last, it'll melt by Friday, I don't know how long it'll take before it sticks.....sorry I'm in such a c___ppy mood....I just want to say thanks to you ladies for always listening to me vent..it really helps :)

Crystal - November 15

Beth, I'm so sorry you're having such a c___ppy couple of days. That sucks. I completely understand the budget thing *sigh* I'm actually getting ready to start writing checks off now & hope they don't come in before payday. Gotta love the game.
