Welcome to the new thread, not too much longer to go...

lmrod55 - January 12

glad you started the new thread...the other one was getting pretty long. Get well soon Kendra - I know when my throat was hurting a couple of weeks ago sleep was the last thing I was able to do (it just hurt too much) and I know that doesn't sound encouraging - sorry!

Beth - January 12

Hey Ladies, I finally read all your threads and I feel pretty much caught up. Kendra I'm so sorry about your sister's accident, i would have done the same thing, luckily she's allright though. I don't think that I've had any BH contractions, I haven't lost my mucous plug, I don't even think my baby is dropped yet and at my doc appt yesterday he said that I could go onto labour this weekend if the baby decides to because he's on call. Unfortunatley I don't think that he does internals, it's not that I really was very excited about this procedure, just that I wanted a lil bit of hope that just maybe this baby has plans of coming out soon!!! I'm so donw with being pregnant I'm sick of being in pain!!! Oh, my baby had a growth spurt, so the doc isn't worried about him anymore (ummm, he forgot to mention he was worried in the first place!) so there's no need for another u/s, but since I have one planned then I'm going to get it anyways, then they can determine the weight, the size and the position. I'm really excited about seeing my baby again, I just wish it wasn't an u/s it was him deciding to come out allready!! I guess I can't complain too much, I'm full term now. Ladies, we've made it to the homestretch!!! Who do you think will give birth first??? I miss you ladies ;(

Kendra - January 12

First to go - my vote is on dwc! lol - not to scare you or anything!! Actually, Amy is supposed to have her c-section the 25th right? I thought I would be first - but when they gave me medicine to stop my preterm contractions, I think they worked too well! Watch me be super late now. We haven't heard from Crystal in awhile, so maybe she already had her baby. That just seems so wild. We've all kept in touch for quite some time now! As you can see I gave up on the nap. It's hard to be sick, and it's hard to be pregnant - and being both is impossible!! I am grateful that I am not working - and really don't have anything I have to do right now. (lots of things I should get done, but can wait!) because I would be a zombie. It's nice to talk with you all though, because a sore throat doesn't affect how I type!

Beth B - January 12

Hello ladies long time no see ;-) Jan. is a very busy time at my work and by the time I get home from work I DO NOT want to get on the computer. I tried to read through everything but I got too far behind! Kendra I am sorry to hear about your sister. Any update on her? I hope you feel better as well. Beth I am glad you are still getting your u/s. I thought about you because I wondered if I would come on here and you would know the s_x! Are you going to try to find out? I had my u/s last fri and they confirmed hes a boy. I had my shower on Sat and it was so great! I am so ready to have my son now. I am getting so achy and fat and uncomfortable. Does anyone else wake up barely able to move? I have only had bh contractions a couple of times. Actually yesterday am I had them at 630, 700, and 730 so I started to freak but then I got up moving around and they went away. I am going weekly now so I go back tomorrow. Not looking forward to the scale! Oh and I had my strep test last fri so I get the results tomorrow. I am a little nervous about that *fingers crossed* that I don't have it. Well I need to go lay down now.....I will not stay away that long again lol!

Amber - January 12

I am due 2-14-06. My little guy has dropped (thank god), and ive had some ugly back pain. Also i think im starting to lose my plug, all nasty and gross :) My hip feels like its going to break, ive gotten stuck in the bathtub 2 times! I cant fall asleep unless im on my back (i do this weird thing with lots of pillows so that im on an angle :P ) I REALLY want to have this baby soon, as soon as he is full term, hes getting some eviction papers! I want to sleep on my stomach again :P!

Boy I think we are all about ready to be done with this pregnancy stuff... I was complaining sooo much last night to my dh. I told him I was going to ask the doc on the 20th if there was any chance I could be induced the next week (prob not) and dh said no your not, I am going to tell the doc that I don't agree to that. Oh my gosh he got it. I told him he could start carring around this baby then. He said I was being selfish and I told him that pregnant women and moms for that matter were one of the least selfish people I know, boy he got me hot!!!! He said he thought the baby ought to be allowed to grow a little longer, like as soon as it gets here it is going to instantly stop growing... I explained to him that we had proved with dd that once she got to a certain size it was easier for her to grow outside of me instead of in. I am a small woman, 5'2" and started out at about 93lbs. I am also short in the torso so the baby really does not have much room now, just nowhere left for it to go, poor thing. I wish we could listen to what the baby's thoughts were while they are in our wombs... Oh well, I guess this is the day for random thoughts for me... Has anyone come up with any new tricks to calm heartburn, indigestion and acid reflux??? Had that terrible last night also, didn't get to go to sleep till late because of it... Well it is a yucky day here in MS for us today rainy and lots of wind... Hope everyone else has a great day!!!

Mandi - January 13

Well, the weather here in PA has been unseasonably WARM (so no complaints), but just today that pattern has shifted. It was 60 yesterday, today a little colder, but tomorrow it is supposed to be back to the norm. Anyone worried about the weather (snow, etc...) when they need to go to the hospital? My bf is from AZ, and scared to death to drive in the snow. I have already told him, "If we are in the middle of the BLIZZARD of 2006, please call an ambulance!!!". Lord knows that we don't need to be in a car accident on the way to the hospital. How many of you are dialating/effacing? 1 cm here but no effacement per my January 9th internal. Has anyone lost their plug? What a nice name by the way MUCOUS PLUG!!!! Yeah, I will rename mine a cervical covering. I think it is still there --- no signs of it anyway. Is it possible to lose your plug and not know it? What if you don't lose your plug? Sorry to ask such questions, but as a first time mom I am full of questions these days. Like, why all of the blasting headaches lately? My blood pressure was fine (100/68) at the last appt. Actually had a scare with it on the 7th, but everything turned out normal (thank God). Just as a refresher to me --- returning newbie --- where is everyone from (me, PA)? What number baby (me, #1)? Due date (me, Jan 30th to Feb 9th)? Do you know what you are having (me, boy per my amnio)? Thanks in advance.

lmrod55 - January 13

Hi ladies! Beth and Beth B - good to see you back! Beth - that is a funny question about who will go first...I am with Kendra - I think dwc is going to go first, if Crystal hasn't already had the baby! I think I am losing my mucous plug, slowly - I started noticing some discharge a week ago and didn't really think anything of it but this morning I was like - I wonder if this is my plug??? I have no clue if it works like that - and there is no blood with it, so maybe it isn't the plug!!?? Amber that is a cute statement about the eviction papers - if only we could serve them!! I too am due Feb 14th - in AZ - this is baby #2, but pregnancy #1 (our dd was adopted at birth) - don't know the s_x of the baby! I hope that everyone has a great day...thank god it's FRIDAY, but it is FRIDAY the 13TH!!! :-)~

Kendra - January 13

Hey everyone! My refresher - I live in Abilene, Texas, due Feb. 2nd, first baby, and we are told it's a girl. Dwc, wish I could help you with the reflux - but I haven't had any problems with that! It's like the one thing I've been given a break on I think! I'm also done with being pregnant. Last night, I couldn't help it, and just broke down, crying, because I was so tired of it all. I've just been miserable with being so sick, and the stress of my sister, and just being pregnant - seeing how I've been pregnant for almost ten years now, surely. My poor husband didn't know what to do - because really, what can you do, except keep waiting! So he just kept saying, 'I'm so sorry!!' . I felt bad for whining so much, but I couldn't help it, I just kept crying. I've since calmed down, even though I'm still pretty sick. Hopefully that medication will kick in soon. Well, hope you're all having a good day - no 13th bad luck or anything! Talk to you all later!

HEY BETH AND BETH B!!!! THANKS GIRLS FOR THE VOTE OF CONFIDENCE. I GUESS WE WILL JUST HAVE TO SEE WHO GOES FIRST. I THINK IT WILL BE CRYSTAL OR KENDRA. LENA, MY MUCOUS PLUG DID NOT HAVE ANY BLOOD IN IT FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN, IT WAS CLEAR, MILKY COLOR... BUT THE WAY I UNDERSTAND IT YOU CAN LOOSE JUST A LITTLE AT A TIME..?? IT WASN'T VERY MUCH OF IT, I MAY STILL HAVE MORE TO LOSE I GUESS. MANDI, I AM FROM MS, THIS IS BABY #2 FOR ME, I AM DUE FEB 13TH, I AM WAITING TO FIND OUT THE GENDER OF THE BABY UNTIL BIRTH. I WAS 1CM ON 12/28/05 WHICH THE NURSE STATED REALLY I COULD STAY THAT WAY FOR SEVERAL WEEKS, I WAS HAVING CONTRACTIONS THAT NIGHT AND HAD TO BE MONITORED AND THE CONTRACTIONS STOPPED. I LOST MY MUCOUS PLUG THE FOLLOWING WEEK, AT MY 1/5/06 APPT A U/S SHOWED THE BABY AT 4LBS 15OZ, HEAD DOWN AND SOOO SWEET, AND I GO BACK ON 1/20/06 FOR AN INTERNAL TO SEE IF I HAVE DIALATED ANYMORE. THE DOC DID TELL ME THAT ANYTIME AFTER 1/23/06 THAT I WANTED TO HAVE THIS BABY THEY WOULD LET ME, SO I AM SHOOTING FOR THAT EXACT DATE WITH THOSE PAPERS YOU SPEAK OF, LOL!!!!! I ACTUALLY CALLED THE DOC TODAY TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE GOING ON, I WAS HAVING SOME REALLY SHARP PAINS AND PRESSURE IN AND AROUND MY CERVIX AND VIRGINA, BUT SHE SAID JUST TO KEEP WATCHING FOR CONTRACTIONS AND BLEEDING, AND AS LONG AS I DID NOT FEEL ANYTHING IN MY VIRGINA LIKE A HEAD OR SOMETHING NOT TO WORRY (CRUEL JOKE) OTHER THAN THAT TRY TO HOLD ON TILL NEXT FRIDAY, AND TO KEEP DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER... I REALLY HOPE THAT FRIDAY THEY WILL SET A DATE FOR INDUCTION, SO KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS, I KNOW WE ARE ALL SOO MISERABLE. THE BABY REALLY HAS HICCUPS RIGHT NOW, POOR THING I WONDER IF IT IS AS MISERABLE AS I AM.... YOU GIRLS TAKE CARE AND KEEP US POSTED I AM NOT TOO BUSY NOWADAYS AT WORK, SO I CHECK BACK OFTEN AND I NEED STUFF TO READ!!!!

dwc - January 13

I GOT IT VAGINA... RIGHT

lmrod55 - January 13

dwc you crack me up! see, you are going to go first...next friday is going to be here before you know it!! Not much going on for me at work either...they stopped giving me projects like 2 months ago and the few that I have now are a little slow and I am already starting to transition them to someone else to handle while I am on leave!! They must know that I sit here with not alot to do and surf the net!! And the worst part about it - when I come back from leave I will be sitting for awhile, as this company isn't organized enough to have a few projects ready to go when I return!! I guess I should be grateful for this slow time, but it would only benefit me if I was at home and able to do things there!! At any rate...have a great afternoon ladies, I'm sure I'll check back before I head out for the day. -ld

lmrod55 - January 13

I don't recall who asked, but someone asked about those participating in the online shower...I am participating - Kendra is my partner! I can't remember who started that, but I too haven't seen anything from her in awhile...we just exchanged addresses and I hope to get the gift in the mail this weekend - I don't remember the deadline, but I think it is soon! - ld

Beth B - January 13

lol DWC I knew you were having preggo brain with that! My boss gave me the day off today bcuz they think I am looking "draggy" whatever that means! I will take it though. I am so ready too but at my appt this morning I am not dialated and doc is sure he won't come until a couple days before my due date...which is Feb. 3rd or 5th, a boy, and our first. We are in Seattle so its been raining for like 26 days now. Next week we will break a record for consecutive days of rain. Its semi warm but just plain gray and depressing. I am used to it though! I need your opinions on this...sorry if tmi. my doc checked to see if I was dialated with two fingers and he said my pubic bones are faced/turned in and he even had to put his fingers on top of eachother instead of side by side. So he said there is nothing I can do about my bone structure but he strongly suggests an epidural (which is no prob for me) and said I will have a long and painful labor but as long as the baby was under 9 to 10 lbs that he thinks I will be able to deliver v____ally......so someone should have told me about my bones like 9 months ago lol j/k but does that sound wierd? Aren't your bones supposed to move? He also said I would probally have back labor....geez he was full of good news today!

lmrod55 - January 13

Beth B. - You did get a lot of crazy baby news today...I probably would of started crying just listening to the doctor! As for the rain - we'll here in AZ the last day Phoenix saw rain was Oct. 18th!!! We need a couple of drops REALLY bad! Not sure if you recall, but I am from your neck of the woods - and I miss it all soooo much, even the rain! And Kendra I am with you on the "oh, you'll know" statement...I am not too sure if I will or not! You know I can't recall if my doc does internal exams...this week (35 weeks) he didn't do one - when did you ladies start getting internal exams? I think I recall the nurse telling me in the beginning that my 1st appt would be only one where I would have to "drop my bottoms" - so I don't think I will ever know when I hit 1 cm dialated!!! Not sure if that is a good thing or not! - ld

Kendra - January 13

I've been getting internals for awhile, because I'm high risk - but the policy at my office for "normal" pregnancies, is to get them starting at 36 weeks - every week until delivery. Although, I have heard alot of other offices don't do many internals because of the risk of infection. I certainly don't enjoy them - but it is nice to know how you're progressing (or NOT progressing!).
