Good morning ladies! Not much going on here...work is boring and I am feeling good. Actually, this morning I don't really feel pregnant - which I know is an odd statement, but go figure! We got our Christmas tree last night and plan on decorating it on Friday! Hope everyone has a good day.

Hey Kendra - that is too funny about the town shutting down...at least it's a free day! I would say call Quiznos and if they are open go for it! I LOVE their sandwiches too! Are you in your new house? This FREEZE will allow you to unpack things at your leisure! -ld

Good Morning Ladies, it's great to hear that everyone's in such a great mood today! I'm in the usual amount of pain, nothing too special about today for me. It's so funny to me that you guys don't even have snow and everything's cancelled, the other day it was -30 degrees celsius here and it snowed so much that I went out to start my car 10 minutes before I left in the morning, brushed off the car, came back down to leave and there was like another inch or two of snow built up! I've never had a free day.....my parents used to make me walk to school in this weather! (I sound like my grandma!) hehe, well ladies enjoy your day!! I am now officially craving quizno's......mmmmmm quizno's *drool, drool*

Good Morning. Hope Crystal checks in soon! And Michelle too....hope to hear your test came back good. Anyhoo we don't get alot of snow up here either so we shut down too! But I am a big baby so I wouldn't drive in it anyways. oooh yeah love the quiznos Steakhouse Beef Dip...good idea for lunch (only four hours away!) My mom bought me baby laughs by jenny mcarthy...its so funny you guys should check it out. jenny mcarthy also wrote belly laughs and i want to read that too. Are you guys as big of dorks as me with the prego/baby mags???? I am not much of a reader but I can't pa__s up the baby stuff.

Beth - December 7

I am in fact reading right now.....I might read those Jenny Macarthy books, thanks for the suggestion. If any of you ladies are looking for a good hilarious book, try Knocked Up by Rebecca Eckler, it is so funny I might suggest a diaper ;o)

Hi.. just found this site. I am due with my second baby at the end of February. We don't know the s_x of the baby and keeping it a surprise. ~ Kendra - I was laughing at your post. I am from Austin and they are already preparing people for sleet and schools shutting down tomorrow. We are expecting MAYBE 1/4 of an inch of frozen stuff!! LOL. Everyone freaks out. It is so funny! ~ I am originally from Virgina and the whole Texas weather is definitely a new experience! ;) ~ Hope you enjoy your "free" day! There are so many posts on this string that I am not sure I will ever read them all.. but "hello" to all.

Welcome Sara! Amy - I am so sorry to hear that the entire family is sick...that is just miserable! Get some nice warm chicken soup for all and get some sleep! I do hope you start to feel better soon! - ld

I have read Belly Laughs, it was quite funny - and nice because she really doesn't sugar coat things. We are in the new house, so I am spending my day unpacking - I'm actually getting alot done, because my husband is out of town, and I always get more done when he isn't around. Sara, welcome. I love Austin! I have a doctor there, so I make the trip pretty often. One thing about this weather is that all the pets are frisky (we have five) and I've got them all in with me. So the big dogs are playing and their tails have knocked over everything we own, the cats are following me around, and the weiner dog is just grouchy. He's in his sweater, looking quite regal, sitting in his chair. I'm not a wacko that goes crazy with the dog clothes, but my dachshund really does get cold. He likes having his sweater on, and gets very excited when he sees it. Well, I better get back to work.

Kendra - December 7

Oh yes, I meant to add, feel better Amy! Sounds like you guys need a nurse to just come in and take care of all of you!

Do any of you ladies subscribe to iVillage? They have a nice pregnancy calendar which can tell you "average" weight / height of the baby throughout the pregnancy...so here is mine for the day (based on being 30 weeks): She weighs between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 pounds. She continues to gain weight at a faster pace than she lengthens, which will give her those cute chubby cheeks. She's about fourteen to sixteen inches tall, although individual growth rates vary. So I look at my belly and honestly, do not see how a child that is 14 to 16 inches tall (or even close to that) is inside of there!!!! Is it just me, or do some of you wonder how the heck something so big is in there! I think I have mentioned before that I do get the comments that I look small for my stage...but my doctor tells me I am right where I should be!? I guess I am just finding it amazing.

Kendra - December 7

Lena I'm the same way! After every appointment, when I tell my husband how big the baby should be, he pulls out his tape measure and hold that length against my stomach. It's crazy to think they're all curled up in there!

Crystal - December 7

Hey ladies ~ Sorry it's taken me so long to get to a computer...everything's fine, minus my sanity. Staying at home is driving me nuts. I went out to try & walk around the mall for about an hour today and ended up stuck in one store for about an hour because everytime I tried to walk I got contractions. Oh, I'm lovin' it. Michelle ~ that's so scary, I hope everything's ok..glad the rest of you are doing well though. I love reading all the posts ~ minus the bedrest it sounds like you are all going through the exact same things I am and that makes me feel so much better. I still have to do Christmas shopping & put up decorations (you'd think with me being home I'd be on top of it)....I'm going to start my Christmas baking this week, probably tomorrow so I can give out gift baskets of baked goodies. Anyway, I only have a minute, but I'll try & catch up with you all in a couple of days!!

If I've posted here before it was way way too long ago for me to remember (I forget everything now more than ever anyway), but too I was a March mom for a minute and now I'm back to Feb 21st and told its for good! Kendra... I'm near Chicago (love Texas though) and that is so funny about the town shutting down! We have to get like 5 feet of snow before that happens here! SO I've been nervous lately for no good reason... this is my first baby and everything is going really well... measurements and everything are EXACTLY what the books say I should be at this point, baby's heartbeat is 140 - right in the middle! All test are fine - so why am I nervous?? Cause I'm waiting for the ball to drop somewhere in this adventure! I'm just silly! I do have one problem - I have a horrible toothache that is putting me at this computer at 4:00 in the am and I have to be up for a birthing cla__s in a few hours. BLAH! Oh well! I'm starting to miss things like not being able to see my feet and I get a taste for beer now and then - I don't satisfy that craving, but I just miss it. Weird! But too I also think about the things I won't be able to just get up and do so easily with a little one in my care so I'm cherishing all those moments now too. Ah yes! And the Palmer's! Love the stuff... probably a total rip-off, but no funky smell so I like it. (Walmart is a little cheaper than other places, at least around here). But I still got some marks so who knows! The plan is to attempt some "Baby & Me" yoga afterwards - IF there's time! lol!

Well I am back from the doc's... Great reports all around. They did the sono, and the baby weighs around 2 lbs 13 ozs so right on target, they sayy I am just measuring small, because I am a small person and am able to hide the baby well.. They also did the gd test which came back negative. They did find that I am slightly anemic (sp?) so they put me on iron pills, but she said with as sick as I have been, that if I can not take them not to worry about it... She has got me going every two weeks now, is that how everyone is now? My little girl was so excited about seeing the baby yesterday. The baby keep kicking the sono machine yesterday, it was so funny, then I had a BH contraction and the screen just went blank. She said we were being diffcult yesterday. Crystal great hearing from you, are you having regular contractions or just BH? Amy, hate to hear about all being sick. Hope you all get better soon. I will try to check back in soon. Have to get back to work, I am a whole day behine.
