Hello, everyone. I was wondering if I should get a little thank you gift for my shower hostesses. I was thinking about gift certificates or something along thoes lines. Any thoughts on the matter?

I have gotten gifts for those who have hosted showers for me. I don't know if you need to or not, but everyone I know in th epast has done so. It is a little crazy though. I am having a shower tomorrow and 7 people are hosting it - cost me more money to buy thank you gifts than the shower was worth.......

What I did to save money and make it nice was go to the dollar store and get the jars of scented mood candles and gave them all 3 candles a piece. They really appreciated the gifts and it helped save me money.

I had 2 people host my shower, and I gave one of them a gift certificate for a ma__sage/day spa and the other one doesn't like ma__sages (!) so I gave her gift certificates to a book store and a yarn shop. Total for each person - $100. They put A LOT of work into my shower, so it was worth it.

My shower was hosted by 5 couples. I am giving spa baskets for 4 of the 5 women and a larger basket to the host couple along with a wine basket for her husband. My total will be about 200-250 but this was a second shower given to us by neighbors and my husband and I were touched by all that they did for us and so we want to do something special in return.

It's starting to get cold where I am from. I'm planning to give my girls super soft hat/gloves/scarf sets. I think it really depends on who the gifts are for. Tea sets are nice, as are theatre certificates, cute purses, starbucks cards, underclothes and anything else people aren't always able to buy for themselves

I've said on a different post that I like the Willow Tree figurines. There is a "thank you" one, and they have a huge selection of other ones..."sister" "aunt" "mother" you get the Willow Tree Figurines if you don't know what they are, but they make wonderful gifts.

I got a little gift for my shower hostess - just a set of lotions, shower gel, bubble bath and spray from Bath and Body Works, nothing too much, but just a little something just for her that she can't use to buy her kids something to thank her for all her hard work.
