Going Without An Epidural

I'm 33 weeks and really not wanting to have an epidural. Can I get by with coping techniques and stadol? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

i had stadol with my second, all it did was allow me to sleep through the little contractions, i did the first one all natural and for both of them after you see them you won't really remember the pain. just focus on the fact that you will have that little bundle of joy to hold and some how it makes it all worth while, even if you do wish someone would kill you to put you out of your misery like i did!! hehe any way the stadol was ok but like i said didn't help much i think alot of it is how badly you want to be able to do it with out drugs, i know people who have had epidurals and loved it and i know people who have gone all natural and not had any complaints just said it was uncomfortable. so i think it all depends on you and your pain tolerance. Good luck!

like naomi said, it's do-able.all depends on your pain tolerance. with my son i went all natural for a looooong 18 hrs. it was hard but managed. just make sure you have a coach with you that knows the techniques to help you out, as when time comes you may not remember them. goodluck

Hey cam, It is not as bad as it sounds. I am 32 weeks with my 3rd child. I had my first two kids with just a mild relaxer. Hopefully your coach is a good ma__sager. May as well be really comfortable right? lol
