Has anyone else felt pressure/pain in their groin area? It mostly is felt when I get up from a laying position and when I walk around. I am almost 40 weeks

I feel the same..i am in my 38th week and its really uncomfy when i get up from bed or the couch also. Remeber its natural! We are carrying a baby and that whole area is on pressure and weight! So no worries just take it easy ..but if you see some mucousy clear with blood then thats a sign to call your doctor as its a sign that labour is coming!

The dr told me its cause the baby is getting ready to come out. Good luck.

It's the babies head engaging into your pelvis. This causes the ligament which holds the pelvic bones together to stretch and sometimes grind the bones together. Sometimes I feel and hear a crack in the front of my pelvis when I stand up from lying down. It's perfectly normal and if this is your first baby can be a good sign that labour is close. Try doing some gentle squats and also standing with your legs a shoulder width apart and slowly rocking your hips side to side (this is good during labour too). This will encourage babies head further into the pelvis and help your cervix to ripen (soften & dialate).

I get these sharp shooting pains in my v____a and my bottom. I am 37 wks. A week ago above my pbc. bone felt bruised when I stood up it is gone now only to be replaced by my pubic bone where it connects to my thy feels the same way, and it hurts worse when I get up in the morning. Please tell me if this is a good sign that labor is coming.
