Hi, I am 37 weeks and still have not found a name for my baby boy! I have gone through all the books, internet, everything and cannot come up with a name that my Husband and I agree on. I LOVE the name Toby, but Hubby thinks it sounds like a sheep dogs name ;( I want a little Toby Richard Schultz so bad!! This is our 4th and final baby. I have LOVED the name Toby since I was a kid! All my teddy bears were named Toby, my Ken dolls were Toby! I have 2 girls Aubrey (8) and Vaeda (3)(pronounced Veda) and my little guy is Mason (18months). Can anyone help me out on a unique baby boy name that goes with the middle and last name I have. Richard would be the middle name, after my Grandpa who passed away a few years ago, and our last name is Schultz. Any input would be helpful!! I am so scared we are gonna come home with a baby boy and have no name for him except for BABY!!

We're having name problems also, and I'm 37 weeks, too. Funny thing is - I live in MN, too!! I really like Toby, too. Here's a few other ideas: Tucker, Anthony, Joshua, Tyler, Kieran, Preston. Hope one of those can at least lead you in a direction so you can find one you agree on with your husband! Now I've got to work on our little girl's name!

That is a very cute name!! Those darn husbands always messing up our names! It's not like he had to carry the baby for nine months! lol!

Also I like the name Jackson Richard but my sister who is 18 has a boyfriend name Jack, They have been together for a year or so, would it be rude or weird to name him JAackson? I mean to be honest its not like my sis and jack are gonne be together forever!! Trust me, I know! JennyC what part of MN are you from? I grew up in Mound, but we recently bought our 1st home in a small town of Winsted. Too small if you ask me!

Oh yeah I like Jasper too

Jackson is my favorite so far, and no, I think it would be fine for him to share a name with your sis's bf. My BIL's gf is named Kate, and that's on our list too. I live in Eagan (south of St. Paul), and just moved here in September from San Diego. Thank goodness this winter has been mild so I can get used to the cold slowly!

I know a couple who had a baby back in early September... don't know if they've even named their kid yet, but as of November, they still didn't have a name. Don't know what they were calling their kid instead, but they didn't seem too worried, nor did anyone around them.

I love the name Toby!!!! Maybe it's because I have one, hee hee, he's 2 years old. Toby Richard Schultz sounds so amazing. I would keep pushing for Toby unless HE comes up with something. And you never know....after he sees what you go through to bring this baby boy into the world, he may just let you have whatever name you want. That happened to a cousin of mine. Her husband wanted to name the baby Joel the whole pregnancy but when it was born, he melted and said she could name him whatever she wanted. So they have a Zachary now. Men have weak moments in delivery rooms!!

What about Colby, its close to Toby and quite a cute name.

We couldn't decide on a name for our little man either - DH wanted Jasper, I was desperate for Flynn. I've dug my heels in and he has now relented!!!!! So Flynn David will be here in around 7 weeks. Good luck!!!!!

I'm right there with ya! 36 weeks and NOTHING. dh and I can't decide on anything so I got mad and told him, "FINE....YOU COME UP WITH THE NAMES." He's wanting to wait until he sees the baby to name it. but I'm thinking if he waits till then and I insist on whichever names I've chosen.....how could he possibly refuse me after what I just went thru? hahahahaha.

I think I am just gonna stop looking for names and when I have the baby, tell my husband it's either Toby or this baby is coming home with no name!! Do you think thats mean? I mean he gets the last name!!And our other 2 have his moms middle name and his dads middle name. So now it is my turn.........right?!?

Totally in the same boat here. Only its a little reveresed. My husband has a name picked out and has wanted to use it since we first talked about kids, but we also wanted to wait 2 years after we were married to have a kid. Still to this day it is his name of choice and the name does not grow with the child but it is his grandfathers name whom he adored.......I have to get crackin or give in one in the name area.
