Hospital Test Vs Dr Office Test Different Help

I went to the doc yesterday & my blood pressure was 150/101 (last week it was 140/82) & my urine tested +2 for protein. So i went to the hospital to do a test (ultrasound checking to see if baby is okay) & a blood test & they monitored my blood pressure for about 2 hours. Not only did my blood pressure go WAY down at the hospital (it was like 130 something/80 something) but also ... my urine was NEGATIVE for protein ... the urine tests weren't more than an hour apart (if that). How is that even possible??? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm just concerned that the hospital's tests & the dr. office tests are so far off from each other .......... which one should I trust?

I think some test are more sensative than others. With both of my first two pregnancies I would test + for blood and protein in urine but never had an infection. Now this time around I have tested negative every time.. If you feel fine then I would go with the last one you took which said everything was ok.

Times in the day may matter as well. If you had a blood pressure cuff at home you would see that when you are pregnant the littlest things can make your bp go up or down. I dont know about the protein, but my doc's office does ask me to take my mornings first urine, becuase it will be the most concentrated and will be able to see the bad stuff better IF i have it. so far no. My bp was up one day and i got worried, said something to my doc and she asked me what i just did. I said I had an ultrasound, went pee, then walked to the exam room. She said, you went from a lying position to urinating to walking. At the end of the exam my bp had went back to normal. If your bp is high all the time, then start to worry. talk to your doc about the protein tho, and good luck.
