How Much Do You Weigh

I am 37 weeks and 3 days and I started out at 106-110 lbs. and now im 140 lbs! Is that bad? How much do you weigh and what was your pre-pregnancy weight and how far along are you?

Steph - June 1

How would you think that's bad? It's the normal 25-30 weight gain.

Roary - June 1

I wouldn't worry about it. Firstly, your weight gain (as Steph has already mentioned) falls into the normal (medically acceptable) range. Secondly, as long as you are eating sensibly the weight will not be a long term problem after the baby is born. I expect to lose a huge amount of swelling related weight after I have my baby, and then just eat healthly and walk everyday (until I am physically up to more).

i was 129 lbs before pregnancy, and now im 160! sounds like you're doing just fine with your weight : ]

krista-lee - June 1

oh yeah and im a week overdue... so im guessing im gaining a pound a day now!

I'm 34 weeks and 6 days pregnant. Pre-pregnancy I was 104, now I'm 123. Thats 19 pounds. I think your weight gain is good, like Roary said, as long as your eating the right foods...not fast food, chips, ice cream, and empty calorie items...the weight should come right off within a few weeks/months. Congrats on your soon to be baby!!

Nah I wouldn't even worry about the's good. I was 124lbs pre pregn and just before the day i was in labor i went up to 198lbs. and lost 50lbs just couple hrs later. and now i lost all and back to my pre prego i wouldnt worry about the weight gaining or anything. gluck

I am 39 weeks. I have gained 32lbs, and started out pre-pregnancy a very good weight for my height. Unless you are gorging on junk food all the time...your body will gian what it wants, but you will loose it after you deliver your baby. Everyone I know who gained the reccomended amount of weight 25-35 pounds for average weight (pre-preg) lost the weight really fast after delivery. Its not like trying to loose 25 to 35 pounds of pure fat. In fact, only about 5 to 7 pounds of it is actual fat......which with proper diet and exercise can be lost in 3 to 6 weeks time.

39wks,5 days, pre-pregnancy 112 lbs @5'6", I've put on 18 lbs, that's around 130 lbs I'm at right now.

Shannah - June 2

I am 30 weeks and I have gained25-27 lbs. already

Mommy_Erin23 - June 2

Oh thats nothing hunny. I started at 108lbs and went into delivery with my first child at 199lbs. Then got pregnant four months later and am going back in (hopefully soon, Im 39wks) at 205lbs. Luckily I didn't gain too much this time around. Right after my daughter was born I lost about 40lbs and the rest started to come off before I got preggers again. I would say don't worry about it too much but do watch what you eat. With all those changes we can get out of controll pretty fast :P Good Luck and enjoy your pregnancy. It might sound silly now but you'll miss it when it's over.

Hi Corrine, I started out around 120 lbs. I'm now about to begin my 33rd week and weigh 150 lbs. I'm guessing I'll have closer to a 40 lb. weight gain by the time I deliver. Besides eating sensibly after the birth, b___stfeeding should help take off the weight. You burn something like 500 calories a day just from b___stfeeding!

Heather W - June 2

I was 154 and now am 206...I'm 5'8" tall...and this is my 4th...I am 40 weeks and 3 days

Marie - June 2

I am 27 weeks and have gained 19 pounds. I started out at 125 and 5'5. It seems I am on "pace" for about a 32 to 35 lb weight gain.

Nita_ - June 2

I was around 130lbs prepregnancy weight and right now am 163 lbs. I'm in my 37th week. Everyone says I'm all belly, so am hoping it will be gone shortly after birth!

Corrine321 - June 2
