So, I got the job I have been wanting at the daycare FINALLY. I applied back in the end of April, but hadnt heard back from her until a few weeks ago. We went through the interview process, background checks, paperwork, etc fairly quickly so she could get me in to start working. I am 34 weeks pregnant with my first child, and today was my first day of work. I am only working part time, but after today I just dont know!! I was supposed to be working in the baby room (6 weeks-1 yr old) but there werent enough in there so I ended up with the 3's and 4's. There were 25 of them and 2 of us watching them, plus the director was out today so I never really got shown around or anything, just kind of thrown in there. Now I am getting ready to go to Vacation Bible School which is every night this week and I am teaching the 4th-6th graders. I just feel so exhausted and it is only the first night!! How am I going to make it through this week!? I think I bit off more than I can chew this time!! (This part on out is just whining, you can ignore it! ---My back hurts, my feet and hands hurt and are swollen, my leg is cramping, I have ridiculous heartburn, I feel like I can hardly move, and I just want to CRY!!)

I hear ya about feeling exhausted. Make sure you dont over do it if you need to take some time and relax make sure you do so. Good Luck

I think we're all getting a little tired and we've all got aches and pains we want to whine about, so don't feel bad. If you want to cry, go right ahead, it may just help you feel better. Other than that, rest when you can and don't over do it. If you need to, just excuse yourself and camp out in the ladies room until you feel better.

Sounds like a bit too much in your schedule. I am 33 weeks and exhausted just going to work each day. There is no way I could do night cla__ses as well. Our babies are having a big growth spurt at this time, gaining body fat and for me it seems like the life is being drained out of me!

I'm not as far along as you, but I've been teachingt 3 year olds with disabilities for a few years. Your body isn't used to the physical aspect of the job. I don't know if it helps or not, but after time your body will adjust and it won't bother you as much.

Ca__sie- I relate- I decided to buy a home during my 31st week (now 34 wks) and have been dealing with all the mess that comes with a first time homebuyers/moving/inspections.... I felt the same way- biting off more than I could chew and then my doc said they were going to put me on bed rest b/c of my feet (cankles). I think during these last weeks we start nesting (in all of its forms) from working harder (or taking on a new job) to just getting ready for baby at home. We're all gluttons for punishment at this point! Hang in there! YOU CAN DO IT!

I bought a house at 20 weeks, gutted it and remodeled while working two part time jobs, volunteering once a week and taking a full time load at school. :) I know what it is to be tired and there is NO way I could start that all now. I'm way too tired at 30 weeks!! I have a desk job and that's exhausting, I want to lay down on my desk and take a nap right now. I've just started my summer qtr at school and am dreading the next 10 weeks! All I want to do is lay around and be lazy. :) Just take it easy and if it's too much than cut back on stuff. Everyone will understand! Being pregnant is a lot of work!
