Hi! I am getting induced tonight.. i was just wondering, i heard that if you get induced with your first pregnancy, you will most likely have to be induced with all other births... is this true? Anyone had to be induced with first child and had second natural? please answer.. thanks.

I have never heard of once induced always induced. It is a case by case situation. I say if you are overdue, miserable, and the doctor says it is the best option to strongly consider it. I was induced with my 1st for blood pressure reasons but I am not looking at induction with this on so far. I have less than 5 weeks to go. I hope this helps. Good Luck and from my experience induction wasn't as bad as people told me it was going to be.

Tan I have NEVER heard of this.. and I don't think it has any factual base. That's like saying if you go early with one, you'll go early with the next.. or if you go late with one, they'll all be late. Every pregnancy is different. You know how hard it was to get me into labor this time at 37wks.. yet I went into labor on my own with my son at 35wks.. I say go for it.. don't listen to all of these "I'm not a dr but I play one with my family" people and trust what your dr tells you.. Obviously if they've scheduled you for an induction, they think it's best. Good luck and I can't WAIT for a birth story!!!

Like I said in the Novembermommies thread, this is not necessarily true for all women. It's exactly like January said. Anyway I am sure your body won't even remember being induced by the time your next lo comes to be. Just enjoy every moment you spend with your new son! I also cannot wait for the birth story :)
