I can do a comparisson for you if you like. Me and my sister are both the same amount pregnant at the same time. She smokes pot and I dont. My baby is 4 and a half pounds at 30 weeks, and her baby is just over 2 pounds at 30 weeks. My babys heart rate is strong and healthy, hers is barely there, she has almost lost her baby twice, they could not find the heart beat. She eats properly, and does everything I do, the only difference is she smokes weeed. I hope this has helped.

I know a few people who have smoked weed while pregnant. Most of their children are slow and seem stoned themselves. Ones children are school age and in learning support and have some form of ADD. They all have asthma or other respiratory problems. They also smoked cigarettes too.

My sister smoked weed and I didn't. Her babies were actually bigger than mine, but her husband was huge. What I do know is her kids have intelligence, but are all on medications for anxiety, or OCD or ADD. Mine are not. The biggest question is this: keeping in mind most drugs and substances can cross the placenta, would someone give their baby pot AFTER it is here? If not, then why would someone give it to them BEFORE they are here?

I LOVE MARIJUANA and I was a complete stoner before I found I was pregnant as soon as I found out I was pregnant I quit smoking immediatley. Some people had the nerve to ask why I am not smoking and my reply is "I am PREGNANT!" and their reply is, "so I did it when I was pregnant" and I will look at their daughter who is three and can't really form a three word sentence let alone a word properly. Maybe the kid is just hard to understand. I figure I have all the time in the world after the baby is born If i choose to smoke again. Believe I want to I have been tempted to pick up a bong, pipe or a roach when my boyfriend is gone and take just ONE hit but I haven't b/c I think it would be horrible for me to do. Besides I am 30 weeks pregnant my baby is measuring prefectly and I only have 10 more weeks to go.

sorry but i know a few people that have smoked weed throughout their pregnancy and their kids are completely fine high achievers not that i would recommend it but it does not have the same effect on every child its the luck of the draw your gamble . i smoke cigarettes although i have tried to cut down but my baby is measuring perfect for dates and a very healthy size people can be very judgemental but at the end of the day it is your choice .

I smoke weed in my 1st trimester with my 2nd daughter, it helped me be able to eat and get through the morning sickness...my daughter was born fine with no problems and weighed over 9lbs. I am 29 weeks now and I stopped as soon as I found out that I was pregnant. I know several people who smoked throughout their whole pregnancy and babies came out just fine...but its a gamble and you never know. I felt bad later on in my 2nd pregnancy for smoking and I stopped but as soon as she was born I was back at it. Everything u put into ur body while pregnant is a gamble about wether or not it will cause damage to our babies. In the end its ur choice like I said I did it with my 2nd but would never do it again while pregnant....good luck and I hope everything turns out okay

I know a chick who smoked throughout her whole pregnancy, I finally saw the baby and it looked in horrible shape, yes he came out a big baby, but he just stares into space no reaction to anything and looks like there's nothing going on in his head, and mind you he was 5 months old.

I have never done drugs of any sort, my brother being a drug addict for most of his life was reason enough for me to stay away from the stuff. I have other family members who use Marijuana and although I try not be judgemental because it is their choice, I would definately draw the line at reserving my opinions about smoking while pregnant. I'm sorry if I am judgemental, BUT you should be doing everything that you can to ensure the safety of your unborn child, EVERYTHING that we eat, drink and breath can have some sort of negative affect on our babies and for this reason, we have a responsibility to do all that we can to protect our babies, if we don't, who will?

I smoked weed with my 1st pregnancy until i was 3mths pregnant. I stopped because if my child would have been born with some kind of defect because of something like smoking i would have never 4givin myself. Also, When I would inhale the smoke it felt like it was traveling across my stomach & the pain was unbearable. I felt that was some kind of sign
