Men And Pregnancy Symptoms

I know that it is fairly common for men to have some of the pregnancy morning sickness, but has anyone had their DH/BF nesting? My husband had the nausea in the first trimester (not me) and now he is turning into a cleaning freak. He's been great the entire pregnancy, doing all of the housework, cooking, etc.... And denies that he has started to nest. Says it just needs to be done. But doing Laundrey and dishes is 'regular' cleaning. Cleaning all of the baseboards in the house and getting on hands and knees to scrub the kitchen floor sounds like nesting to me. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I think it's endearing. Especially since he won't let me help. So I sit and watch TV and he cleans. Anyone else have their DH/BF acting like this? Just curious.

Stephaine, my bf is not acting this way but I sure as hell wish that he was. lol. I think that he gets enough rest for the two of us the past couple of weeks. lol. Just wanted to let you know that you are one lucky woman.

Well, my dh hasn't started nesting YET, but he has had almost all the other symptoms. He has gained 23#, has nausea, indigestion, hearburn, leg cramps, and insomnia. It is a riot sometimes.

YES!!! My hubby has been cleaning NON STOP for a week. He's also painted the diningroom, bas____nt stairway, bought new shower curtains, scrubbed the floors, I even seen him going with a rag across all the lightswitches and ceilings.....I had to do a double take!! He's always been a clean guy, but lately he's gone a little crazy!! Even the bas____nt is spotless. He cleaned up ALL the christmas stuff this morning while I was sleeping and when I woke up, he was up in the attic CLEANING IT!! I guess I am lucky but it is making me feel lazy....haha. I haven't hit my nesting phase yet. By the time I make the bed, I've spent my days energy. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow....Best wishes to everyone!

I have noticed this too. He started to gain weight as soon as I did, stopped going to the gym etc. He was tired and cranky, like me :-) The baby's room is done but he has been extra paranoid that everything is put together extra careful. Honestly, I think it's kinda nice. At least it makes me feel like I'm not the only loon in the house!

Holy Cow, what are you feeding these men? My dh is pretty helpful, but I am super impressed when he empties out the dishwasher without me asking him to. He has become a much more understanding and sympathetic person since the pregnancy started, but that's the biggest change I've noticed.
