Does anyone know why ribs hurt soo much?!? First I thought it was the baby pushing, but now I am not so sure, I am 39 weeks and the baby doesn't move as much or kicks as much and they still hurt, I can't stay in the same position for too long especially when I try to sit in the couch or bed. anyone have the same thing going on? I hate going out b/c I can't sit in the same postion for more than 10 min.

I share your pain.. literally... Everytime I try to take a deep breath I get a sharp pain in my right side. It feels like a rib is cracked or something... I am only 27 weeks, I can NOT imagine feeling like this for 13 more weeks... ugh... Oh well, its all worth it in the end!! : ) Good luck to you both!

Are you sure it's not the baby PERMANENTLY resting his/her foot on your ribs? Have you tried to do the dromedary droop to relieve the pain? I tried it the other day and it really worked, it also helps with other types of back pains etc...Hang in there, you're almost there!

i get the exact same thing. midwife said it is from top of the uterus pushing the bottom of the rib cage apart, hurts like hell though hey!!

I am currently 28 weeks and for the last 2 weeks I have had this pain under my rights side of my ribs. I cannot sit in the same spot for too long and I hate it. It is only my right side though. The doctor just said it is normal and the uterus is growing and also your ribs are stretching apart to accomodate the baby. He said it will get worse before it gets better. YAY i have that to look forward too haha!
