I just delivered a healthy baby boy - Cadence Scott - on Monday, October 24 at 9:12pm. He was 3 weeks early (due November 14) and still weighed 7lb 9oz, 19.5 inches long! Just wanted to thank you for all of your help getting this far! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!!

Well, this is my third attempt to sit down and write my story. Here goes...I broke water on Saturday evening, but I didn't realize that is what had happened since it was only a tablespoon of liquid that leaked out 4 different times. Contractions began sometime during the night, but never got real regular until late Sunday - they were 4 minutes apart for 45 seconds. At one point I layed down and my contractions spread out to 10-13 minutes apart and lasting 90 seconds. They stayed like this until 9am the next morning, when we called the doctor to find out what we should do. She suggested coming in to see if my water really had broken. It had, so I was admitted and kept on having contractions. Slight complications arose, so I had to receive pitocin and then asked for an epidural. An hour after the epidural, the nurse checked and I was fully dilated, ready to push. I pushed for 2 hours and delivered my baby that evening! It was the most amazing experience!! As for any secrets to having the baby so early? Having it run in the family... =) My mother went into labor 3 weeks early for both of her pregnancies. =)
