at 30 weeks did you have trouble sleeping? like feeling like you never got into a deep sleep?

I believe i read somewhere that in the last trimester you no longer have the REM stage of sleep.

At 30 weeks? I've been experiencing trouble sleeping soundly since week 10!! lol Actually I sleep for like 2 hours at a time and then wake up to pee or turn over and then it takes about 30 minutes to drift off again. I learned in a yoga cla__s that REM is the stage where your brain is most active and is where you will do your dreaming. I spend lots of time in that stage. The place I don't think I get to is deep sleep (Delta sleep) I often wonder if this is not good for me, but I seem to be rested enough to make it day to day.

Yeah so in the same boat - I basically sleep in 2-3 hour shifts. UGH! I guess it won't likely get any better after the baby is born since I will be getting up to feed her.

I'm 29 weeks and Ive been having this issue for at least a few weeks now. It sucks. I wake up every morning feeling as if I didnt go to bed at all. I wake up every 1-2 hours to pee or groan in pain of some sort. Ugh

I have the peeing problems too, i literally doze off on the toilet haha. I dunno I "slept" for 3 hours just a lil bit ago but I got up to pee 5 times. SO frustrating!

I am 27 weeks and already have the problem- I seriously got up around 6-8 times last night to go to the bathroom- what will happen when this little one is bigger than 2-3 lbs?!! I am also struggling with my sleep position- my hips are starting to get sore when I sleep on one side or another- I keep telling my husband I am going to cut a whole in our bed so i can lay on my stomach!

I really think its our bodies natural way of prepairing us for what is to come.

I'm 30wks and only want to sleep on my back!!! I try not to but it's so hard! My hips hurt on my sides after awhile even with a pillow between my knees! I don't know what I'm going to do when I can't sleep on my back anymore, I make sure to put a pillow under my knees to relieve the pressure on y back and I tilt to the left to move some of it that way, but I just don't sleep more 2-3hrs at a time anymore! And when I nap I can't seem to fall asleep at all even if I just lay there and don't actually nap! What am I gonna do when the baby comes?. at least I'll be able to sleep on my tummy and back again but as for napping never been able to do it!

nanders i completely understand how you feel the hip pain is horrible, i had a weird cause though mine was there and HORRIBLE and now gone i got lucky but yea i hope this does get better, i wake up on my back sometimes, the way i look at it, at one point they didnt know that all this was so "bad" and the world went on so dont stress!

If week 30 is the first time that you have experienced this you are lucky. I am at week 36 and I wake up every hour to two hours to pee and usually after four hours I have to change beds. The couch has become my best friend . For some reason it is more comfortable at 2am than the bed. I think this is God's plan to get us ready for when the baby arrives. I did sleep well from week 32-34 and then it started up again. But I remember right around week 30 getting no sleep at all. I am once again having the same problem at week 36.
