for the past week I have had unbelievable back pain, maybe its rib pain but its my back that hurts not front. I am only 28 wks, will this last until I deliver?

I had horrible rib pain that went around my whole ribcage, front and back at 28 wks. It was just miserable. I haven't noticed it as much at 34 wks but I'm guessing the baby might be dropping a little as I don't feel that rib pain anymore. I would get it the worst after I ate. Not much room down there anymore so my doc suggested eating smaller meals more frequently. If I stuffed myself my ribs just ached. Maybe try eating smaller portions. I know how you feel though but once the baby drops you should get some relief. I know I have.

I have a terrible back ache as well, and it comes and goes but I've noticed it more after a meal (even just a sandwich)

I have a terrible back ache as well, and it comes and goes but I've noticed it more after a meal (even just a sandwich). Unfortunately, my doctor said it won't go away until I deliver :( sorry...but I'm hoping when the baby drops as Heidi experienced, the pain will be somewhat alleviated...

I still have a lot of upper back pain from sitting behind a desk all day. It just aches like crazy some days but I use a back ma__sager on it and take warm jacuzzi baths once in a while and it helps loosen my muscles up. After seeing my ultrasound I know why my rib cage hurts on the right side. Her feet are right up in it!!!!! She just shoves away too. Ouch!

I can feel him kicking on my right side when I sit at my desk and was wondering if I was bruised internally or if its just a normal ache from body changes...maybe both. I've also just started to have shooting pains in my b___t and pelvic area. I guess I should just get used to being uncomfortable, only a few months left. :-)

It feels like someone kicked me in the a__s or I fell on my tailbone. Every time I get up from sitting I walk like an old lady. Everything feels out of whack. When I try to go for walks I get hip and tailbone pains and have to slow way down and change my pace a bit or it hurts too much. How annoying!

She's kicked me in the ribs as well and it always feels like a jolt...almost like my rib is going to break away or something, but not too painful yet just uncomfortable. I also get kicked in my pelvic bone at times and my cervix and bladder of course. She still hasn't turned so she's all over the place! The sciatic nerve is the worst though, thank God only had 2 attacks so far...
