Safe Cleaner

My brother just gave me a ton of baby stuff that his little boy used when he was a baby and I was wondering what would be safe to clean them with. It's a playyard, a swing, toys, carrier. I don't know what to clean the cloth parts with...like on the swing and the play yard. All I can think about is old baby spit up and slobber all over it that I can see..lol. I want everything CLEAN and sanitized before my baby gets in it. Any suggestions??

A lot of the fabrics for swings and seats, etc, can be removed and washed in the washing machine. We did that with a used stroller we received and it worked great. Toys can be disinfected I believe with bleach, or just in the sink with some antibacterial dishwashing detergent. Not sure exactly what to do for cloth parts that can't be removed, but you could try a handwash laundry detergent in a bucket of warm water and just wipe it all down really well and let it dry. Best wishes!

To disinfect, i think lysol disinfectant wipes are ok since they gave away free samples in these magazine packages my doctor gives away in her office.

Has anyone used the new clorox anywhere cleaner.....I wondered if that was any good.

I wouldn't use bleach on anything that might make it's way into my babies mouth ... just my opinion tho

I'd recommend the Clorox Anywhere spray for the hard parts of it. I work in a daycare and we use that for practically everything and it's totally safe for kids. I've used it on some hand-me-down toys that we've received for our baby.
