Any words of encouragment? I go in on the 28th for a csection because my little guy won't turn. I am so scared I feel like throwing up!! I have two other children but they were normal and very easy deliveries. Please help!!!

Hi there, All I can suggest to you is that you read everything and anything you can about c-sections prior to your surgery. I didnt know anything about c-sections when I had mine and I really regret that.

i think it is just pre-delivery worries. Im scared to death about giving birth, but that is only because Ive never done it before. Thats probably the same with you. Plus every pregnant woman has the chance of a c-section...who knows ur baby could still turn :D

I had an emergency section in november. well maybe more of an impromptu section because the baby didnt want to drop. it really was NOT that bad. after being in labor 15 hours with no meds, it was a relief!!! hang in there, its not so bad!

I've had three c-sections. They weren't bad. There was pain in recovery, of course, but I didn't think it was as bad as my labor!!

Its totally natural for you to feel apprehension towards c sections. Fear of the unknown might be part of it.. and im sure the other part of it is thinking about having major abdominal surgery. Ive had 2 c sections. Both were awesome. Both were textbook with absolutely no complications. It does hurt a bit after the surgery, but if i could give you any advice it would be.. get up and start walking as soon as you possibly can. The faster you get up and start walking the faster you start to heal! I really hope everything goes well with you.. im sure it will! ~Kristin~

hi beth no need to worry, i had a scheduled c-section on feb.2 due to baby being breech. i have to admit i was up all night the night before worrying but it was so easy. i went in the next morning, got hooked up to a monitor, had an IV put in, filled out some paper work walked into the surgery room, had a spinal done that was totally painless was numb right away, that was a weird feeling. my husband came in to comfort me, i felt absolutely nothing and before i knew it my baby girl was here. the recovery has been pretty easy for me, still some pain but nothing too bad. if you ask me a c-section is the way to go. so try not to worry just keep thinking that soon you little boy will be here! good luck
