Sharp Pain In Lower Abdomen

I have been having this sharp pain in my lower middle abdomen since last night. It is not constant but I feel it every once in a while. This is my third baby and I am 32 1/2 wks. I do not remember this with my other 2. I have been pretty miserable the last few days I also have a 4 yr old and a 15 mo. old that I chase around. Maybe I am doing too much?

Hi momofboyz, i am having that same thing I think. I am 31 weeks. It almost feels like a tenderness and here and there i will feel a jolt of pain. I do think it is the ligaments for me, I had problems with the right side at about 18 weeks and now the left side is aching in that same kind of way. It could also be the way my boy is laying and it is just getting sore because he is getting so big. I wish i knew. wish I could help you.

I'm 32+3 weeks with my 4th baby. I've had what sounds like the same pain for about a month now. The OB says that it is called round ligament pain, it is caused by all of the extra weight and stretching. Rest, stretching, and moving slowly from one position to another can help. There is no cure except birth though, lucky us. You should mention it to your OB, just in case......especially if it doesn't let up or becomes severe pain.

YEah I feel it more too when I am sitting and go to get up. also here and there when i walk. I believe for me it is without a doubt the ligaments.. When the right side was acting up i did use a heating pad for a short bit on really low setting and took warm baths. the warm baths helped with the constant ache.. I find the days that he is more active is when it is more sore.
