Sleep Issues

Okay I'm JUST starting my third trimester, and I have some weird issues going on. I will be in bed for 7 or 8 hours and in that period of time I feel like I'm sleeping maybe 3. I toss and turn but I don't have much pain or anything. Has this happened to anyone else? Like where you are EXHAUSTED but still can't get any sleep? Is there anything I can do at all?

hate to say it but the only thing you can do is get used to it! i am 32 weeks and it has not gotten any better. i toss and turn all night as well.

Tossing and turning is normal, and so is being tired. However, I found out the reason I was exhausted all the time was because I wasn't getting enough Iron. Once the doctor increased my Iron pills, I had and still have a ton of energy. But I think they discovered that when they drew my blood for the GD test and I can't remember if that was second or third trimester, so maybe that won't apply to you. But, you could always check with your doctor.

babyonboard, something I did that might work for you is to drink a cup of hot chamomile tea before bed. Not only does it relax you and is completely harmless to baby but it helps with heartburn and indigestion if you hav eany problems with that. Jamie
