hi everyone, sorry I've been kind of silent again lately! You'd think that with cla__ses being finished I'd have more time but i've been quite busy. Just to let you know, I won't be around for a couple of days (until Thursday).. sniff sniff.. so i'll have lots of catching up to do. I have to work for three days doing some interpreting. Oh well at least it'll be a bit of money! take care and chat with you all thursday!

Good Morning Ladies!!! How was everyones weekend, mine was good, busy but good, I got my stroller all put together and got the crib set on the crib, it looks so cute.

ekay - June 6

Hello ladies! My weekend went well, too. I actually walked yesterday, and except for the excruciating sciatic pain at night, it felt pretty good. Feel very lucky you guys don't have it! My parents got back into town so no more playing house :-( I'm sure you guys will think I am crazy, but I would live in a 2 bedrooom apartment if I had to. That is about all we can afford. Anyways, hope everyone else's weekend went well.

Hello ladies, my weekend went well too! It is starting to feel like summer and now I think it is too HOT! I am 30 wks today and I have 10 more to go!!!

Jennifer - June 6

NM, I know Summer is finally here too, I am not complaining though, I love the heat, I am 33 weeks now, only 7 to go, I was reading my book last night your pregnany week by week, and it made me realize that really I could go at any time now, and the baby would be OK, kinda scary and cool at the same time. My husband and I have prenatal cla__s this saturday, I am not looking forward to that, we have already rescheduled it once, and really can't out it off any longer, the way they do it here, is you can either go for an all day cla__s on a saturday or you can go one night a week for like 6 weeks or something like that, well we figured that we would just do the one day and have it over with, but now I am thinking that we would be better off going the once a week, because Saturdays are so busy, my son has a walk-a-thon, and then a fun day at the ball field this saturday and I would rather be there then sitting in a prenatal cla__s, I just feel that I have been through labor before so I really don't want to go to a cla__s to learn about it.

Good morning ladies, just wanted to stop in and say hi, I will not be on much this week until Thursday, I have my math to study for :0(. Jennifer, do they make you take the cla__ses there?

Jennifer - June 6

No, it is your choice to take them, and my husband wants to take it, and there area parts of it that I don't mind, like the tour of labor and delivery, and the things you are and are not allowed to do, that stuff changed every year, like not allowed to use bumper pads anymore, and little things like that.

Jo - June 6

Since you guys are way ahead of me and well in to the purchase mode and nursery decor....where did you all register or buy baby stuff? And did you get help or did you just know what to get/what not to get?

Jennifer - June 6

Jo, I think you will just know what to get, I did register, but to be honest most people will get you stuff whether you register for it or not, but here is a little list to get you started, receiving blankets, face cloths, towels, lotions, shampoos, bum cream, wipes, diapers, sleepers, onsies, bibs, diaper bag, stroller, play pen, monitor, car seat, high chair, bottles, blankets, you could get a little baby first aid kit together with stuff like finger nail clippers, thermometer, baby tylenol, gripe water, medicine dropper. The list goes on and on, but here is a start.

Ekay, snickerdoodles sound good, I have never had them, you will have to share the recipe so we can all enjoy them. Oh and Mexican yummy. Funny how everyday, we seem to get on the subject of food!!!

Jo - June 6

thanks jennifer. people have been asking me where i'm registered. i'll prob do something about it next month. Ekay, yes, i've had snickerdoodles several times. there's a bakery in middleburg va that makes a mean snickerdoodle. Yesterday my mom sent over some food for us, including choc cake w/choc chips. So good.

Hi everyone, it's good to hear that everyones ok. Jennifer, you only have 7 weeks to go, OMG, time flies doesn't it. And NM, you've only got 10 weeks to go. I know you're excited too!! well, I am 26 weeks and I have 14 to go. For some reason, when I go by weeks it doesn't seem that far away. Hey Beth, In case you pop in again, good luck with the exams. Have any of you seen the umbilacle (SP) cord around your baby's neck? I have been freakin' out because through out the U/S my baby had the cord around her neck. My doc said that it's normal, becasue the cord is so long, and most babies get tangle. He also said that it would only be a problem if she is still like that once I go into labor. What do you all think about that? Should I worry?

Beth - June 6

Lucky, I THINK I have tried snicker doodles along time ago and I was not a very big fan of them na dhave not had them sincel then :0(. Maybe I should try them again!! haa haa. I did FINALLY get my brownie fix yesterday though, I was at home doing math and took several breaks and one of them was to make brownies! :0). Thank you Lucky. I e-mailed my teacher asking her where in the cla__s gradewise I stood and she gave me a "formula" to figure it out. I didn't feel like doing it so I asked some guy here at work and he said by the looks of it I now have an A and I would have to fail the exam to get a C. That makes me feel a little better, BUT I still really want to do well, and am hoping this guy figured out my grade right!!

Beth - June 6

Oh Lucky, No I have not seen the cord around my babies neck, actually I have nto seen the cord at all, when he looked for the s_x he showed us the face, but I did not even see her neck, he went right to her b___t area, haa haa. I don't know how serious it is, I hope just like the dr said it is ok!!

Jennifer - June 6

Lucky, good to hear from you, you have been quite the last few days. I did see the cord, but mine wasn't around the babys neck, I am sure that it was at one time or another, but not during the ultra sound, I do think that it is fine as long as it is not during labor, becasue that is when it could possible tighten. I know, I can't beleive I only have 7 weeks left, and time has been going so fast lately, so I know it will be here in no time, I just hope that I am ready, it seems like I am so close but yet so far away from having everything ready. I just keep thinking I only have 5 weeks left of work, so I will hopefully have time then to get the finishing touches done.
