When It Rains It Pours Or So It Feels

Here is my vent for the week... As if expenses are not already tight with a new baby coming. They filled up our propane tank last night, another $600, gas at $3.45 a gallon, the dryer broke this morning while I was trying to get all of our hospital clothes together. My sister in law and good friend are due with in 2 weeks of me so I have shower gifts to buy for them. I have so much to be thankful for. I have a nice house with a roof over my head, food on the table, why, why, why do I let this get to me. Anyone else have this problem? I feel better after getting it all out. It's nice to be able to vent without judgement.

Amy - Hunni believe me when I say - You are not alone! Times are hard for everyone right now, the prices has gone up sooo much on everything. Only the very rich will be able to continue their lives unchanged. As for the rest of us, it's gonna be hard to keep afloat, and it is very depressing at times. Try not to let it get you down and know you are in good company, I'm gonna try like hell to make the best of it. :0)

OMG I absolutely agree and when your prego it doesn't help with the emotions that already run high. I have had my share of breakdowns and feeling like I can not get caught up or even be at a happy medium with the spending of money due to the high cost of things these days, UGH.

I think we are all feelling the crunch - Gas prices are so ridiculous - sheesh - I am going to have to start driving my dh little coke can instead of my gas hog mommy mobile - but thank God we have cars and a house and food.

Hey all - dont worry you are definately not alone here!! We had just got our car serviced - then my dh almost had an accident when a plank of wood fell of a truck and really mucked up the front of the car - we are insured but still lots of money excess to fix - then on top of that we need 2 new tires - and it doesnt seem to end - especially with me wanting to put my wage away so I can stay at home for as long as possible after the bub arrives - i always feel stressed that there is always something else coming up that I have to put money too! I know i am blessed though but somethimes it all gets a bit overwhelming.....

Amy I know exactly how you feel. I felt so irresponsible for getting pregnant when I did because we didn't know HOW we were going to make it with just the two of us, let alone with another baby who needed a room remodeled and furniture! I was unable to find a job, DH was only getting paid half his usual wages, and we were barely making a house OR car payment each month, never both. It was terrible. Then I got a job, then I lost it, and we REALLY didn't know what we would do. Then DH got a good internship while he goes to finish his degree, and things are better and we're making more money with me staying home than when I was working full time. We have a diesel car, though, and diesel is now nearly $4.00 a gallon here in Texas and it's killing us especially because he drives 45 minutes to school one way each day. We all feel the crunch and get depressed. It's so nice to know we're not alone. It is hard when ONE more thing breaks or needs fixing and you can't seem to recover from the last thing that needed fixing. We understand! What a great place to come to vent though isn't it?
