Hi....i work about 30 hours a week at a very busy pizza place.....i read that a pregnant woman should stop working at 34 weeks....is that true???? I'm 30 weeks pregnant right now and other than my feet hurting after work I feel fine.....also what have you done in general to pass time of the ever-seemingly long third trimester.....i'm only at the beginning of it and it's going sooooo long......thanks!

Hi kari15. I'm 34 weeks today with my first child (a girl) so I don't have much experience. However, my sister worked at our local steakhouse and worked until she went into labor. She actually worked a full shift the evening she was in labor. She started having contractions in the morning, went to work in the evening, left work at 11:30 p.m. and called my mother at 1:15 to come and take her to the hospital. When she arrived at the hospital she was 6cm. She said it was better to keep busy and keeping walking around then rush off to the hospital and wait. The nursing staff and OB agreed. I now work at the same steakhouse and am planning on working till the end.

I forgot to mention that my sister slept through her entire labor because she was tired from being on her feet. The doctor actually had to wake her up to tell her to push. Who would have thought...........
