I am in my second trimester (25 weeks) pregnant with my first. Just wondering if you guys noticed you have gained more in the 3rd trimester than in your second trimester? Or has it stayed the same, or less? Just wondering what I can except. Thanks!

i has to be different for everyone, but i gained the most in the second trimester. i lost 6 pounds in the first, gained 11in the second, and so far in third trimester (one months worth) i only gained 1 pound! so it is hard to say what you should expect. the baby should gain about a 1/2 pound a week i read.

I too gained most in the second trimester. I started at 114 and am now 144 I am 31 week tomorrow. I feel like I have gained too much. I really can't tell where all the weight is(besides my tummy) Maybe he is just a big baby?!

I HAD GAINED MOST OF MY WEIGHT IN THE 2ND TRI. AND IT HAS REALLY SLOWED DOWN TO .5 A WEEK NOW OR EVEN NONE. BUT...I HAVE ALREADY GAINED 23 LBS AND NOW 32 WEEKS.

I gained most of mine in my first trimester... eating was the only way to control morning sickness. I had gained 20 lbs at 20 weeks but now I am 34 lbs and have gained 4 lbs... but at this point the doctor said I should be gaining 1 lb a week. I have my prenatal appointment tomorrow I have a feeling I gained 3 lbs in the last two weeks.

You all are soooo rea__suring...I too had gained about 20-22 pounds up to 27 weeks and now only gained a pound or two since if that...my doctor doesn't seem to be worried though since I am getting a bigger belly each week and the baby's heart beat is now so strong through the doppler...she says the baby is just sucking all my nutrients so even though I eat as much as I can I am not gaining body weight, just baby weight...besides I still have 8-9 weeks to go and once the baby drops, hopefully he drops, I should be able to eat more substantial meals.
