Yeast Infection Returns

I have had 1-2 Yeast Infections per year for the last 3 years. My doctor at that time said it was normal, and I would continue to get them, some women have serious problems with them I guess? Anyways, I'm 28wks this week, and last week noticed one starting. My OB said i could use something like monistat, so I began the treatment, used it all... and it is still there a little. Reading the directions it says to call a doctor after the seventh day... its nearly gone, I feel awkward calling the doctor all the time. I know a girl who said she had 4 during her pregnancy, but I cant seem to get ahold of her. Anyone know if it is okay to continue the treatment for a couple days, or should I really be calling the doctor.?

I've had a yeast infection my entire pregnancy. I'm 32 weeks now. Because I had a miscarriage last year, I was very cautious about shoving creams "up there." It was suggested by my doctor and a registered nurse that I just use it topically. This has helped give me some relief. However, eating any kind of simple sugar causes my system to develop extra yeast. I've always been prone to yeast infection as have my sisters and mother. I suggest considering administering it to yourself topically. Also, yeast infections are not dangerous to your baby; they only ignore the heck out of you.
