He arrived November 3rd at 4:36pm weighing 9lbs 3oz and he was 21in long. I'll try to make this story as short as possible. On Wednesday Oct 31st I had my 39wk appt and my dr. said he would schedule induction for Nov 3rd which happened to be my due date. I got to the hospital at 6am and they told me they were going to have to send me home cuz they were too full. But they would check my first and if I happened to be in labor they would then admit me but leave me in a triage room until a room became available. They checked me I was 4cm and having very irregular contractions but they were very long and strong lasting more than 2mins. They admitted me and I stood in the triage room until a room opened up. The way my dr. office works is there is a group of doctors and whoever is on call is the one who delivers your baby. My doctor wasn't on call which is fine with me cuz I didn't really like him anyways he never sent my charts to the hospital so they had nooo info on me whatsoever, so they had to deal with whatever information i cld give them. Thank God that i"m one who always ask questions, so the doc that was on call came broke my water, and then i got the epidural. I stood at 6cm for a while so then he decided to give me pitocin to make my contractions a bit more regular and stronger. A little before I started to push the doc looked at my belly and said that he thinks the baby would around 7 1/2 lbs also considering my older kids were average at 6\7 lbs. At 4pm I started to push and everything was fine then after 3 pushes baby heartrate started to deccerlate (sp?) doc said he would give me 3 more trys to push and he will help with a vacc_m and if it kept up he would have to c section me. I was scared cuz i never had a c section. anyways i pushed babys head came out then the drama started babys shoulder got stuck and no matter what they did they couldn't get him to budge. All I could see was the look of panic on the doc and nurses face and then they started screaming for more hands and my MIL counted and there was 11 ppl in my room trying to push my baby out. I was panicked cuz they wouldn't let me breathe they just kept scream to me push so finally he came out i don't even know how long he was stuck it felt like an eternity. he was completely limp he was purple and not breathing it took him 2 mins before he started to cry, they hurt his shoulder when he came out and thought they might have broke his shoulder or injured a nerve. anyways they took him to the NICU for precautions and after 24 hrs they brought him to the room with me and hubby. We are about to be discharged so i talk to you wonderful girls later.. Thanks for all the months of answering questions and just reassuring me when i thought something was wrong.
