Yeah, the hoohoo whiff is brutal. I guess this is a glimpse into being a senior citizen...incontenance. You're lucky, docbytch. It's almost over for you. I'm kind of bummed because you won't be here as much anymore.

Sorry Ashley. Didn't mean to mix you and your sister up. I think you guys are lucky to have each other though...and to both be pg at the same time. I know sister relationships can be fraught with emotion...but still...it's a good thing. Especially a twin. I have only brothers...always wanted a sister! Mrs Steve...you are not that far behind me though right? three weeks or so? Thank you for saying you would miss me though 8-). It's nice to know some of my posts around here provide comic relief. We are all a bunch of miserable b___hy broads right now anyway... (meant kindly of course). I am nervous about tomorrow for sure....but CANNOT WAIT to have my mobility back and to go back to a store without using a freaking scooter. I can't wait to have normal underwear again either....LOL

Docbytch...yeah, I'm just 3 or 4 weeks behind you, give or take. It's going to be the longest weeks of my life. You get to meet your lo tomorrow! How are you feeling? Excited? Do you have everything ready?

docbytch - October 8

Mrs Steve.. Yes we have everything ready. I am excited....and scared c___pless too. I will be IN the OR likely 24 hrs from now...we have to be at the hospital at 0530. I have never had any sort of abdominal surgery before...and the prospect of being AWAKE during the whole thing really gives me the heebie jeebies!! I just hope and pray my little guy is normal and healthy. He's been moving lots so there is no worry there...but you know I am superst_tious....especially after CodyKatie's tragedy....and then that total psycho who targeted my son and I. It is just so hard to imagine that tomorrow I will become a mom again for the first time in 21 years. Everything has sooooo changed too from the advice they used to give. I dunno whatthehell I'm doing...LOL

Um, yeah, that still scares the c___p out of me, too. I don't think anyone is going to forget that tradgedy. I envy you, though. Your lo will at least be outside your body where you can see him. No more kick counts and wondering what he's doing. You'll be able to hold him and watch all the cute little faces he makes and the "smiles" people swear are gas. He'll be just fine. I know exactly how you're feeling. I live 15 minutes from the hospital and I'm always at the ready to jump in the car and go if I think ANYTHING is wrong. I have a dr's appt. as well as an NST this morning. I'm alittle stressed about it, LOL. I'm so tired of walking through postpartum and seeing all those women who have already had their babies as I waddle on through (I have to walk through there to get to the NST room). So as far as I'm concerned, you're one fortunate gal. You don't have to stress about cheese or meat or sushi. You can have a hot dog. You can go out and buy the rarest steak you can find and enjoy it without fear. You'll be getting up nights, but it won't be to visit the loo. That to me is exciting.

I love this thread because it touches on the ugly side of pregnancy that is all too often glossed over and sugar-coated. Lets face it ladies, there IS an ugly side to pregnancy (ie. mucous plug - how disgusting is THAT?) and we've been able to laugh about it and make each other feel good that we're not alone. It's nice to have a place you can be frank and open about what's going on with our bodies.

WP: I lost my modesty a long time ago! Being a nurse who sees body fluids on a regular basis just makes me more comfortable with the grossness of this whole thing. But MY body grossness? EEuuww!! Pregnancy sucks!

i would have done the same in your shoes too. i am 36 w and 2 weeks ago i used a scooter out at a huge flea market they have near dallas. it was crazy hot and humid in tx of course and no way could i walk for 4plus hours out in that. it was a blessing to have it. i didn't care about stares. and i have always tried my best to NOT judge people like that- even someone parking in handicap that has no obvious handicap. you never know what someone has that isn't visible to you, so better not to judge. but obviously most people do judge and that's their issue, not yours. glad you went for it.
