This is the only good news about the new forum design! Overall i think it is just confusing but having a toddler section is great because I was thinking there were too many questions relating to tiny babies over on the baby care forum! So.. h__lo now you can't leave because your 2 year old will still be a toddler for a bit :) :) :)

hello - June 1

hey cendres, you read where i said i will have to retire soon hey, well now i dont.... i am too lazy to scroll to the end to read the end of someones sentences, thats annoying, the other set up seemed faster and easier, just may take some time to get used too, dunno if i hang out here or in the littlies section hah,

yes I did read about you thinking about retiring because your daughter isn't an infant :) So i'm glad that they created a toddler section. I don't have to scroll to read the end of people's sentences.. are you using explorer or mozilla? It might make a difference. I'm using mozilla! The new set up is annoying..

hello - June 1

explorer......... this sounds stupid but i have no idea what mozilla is, is it an american thing lol

hello - June 1

i wouldn't have left but it starts reaching a point where all the questions are about babies and asking what your babies are doing etc so u cant relate, if i reply to a post it automatically seems to veer to the left and i can see everything, if i am not replying then i have to do it manually to see the end of sentences

cendres - June 1

no I don't think it is American.. mozilla is just an alternative navigator. You can download it off the internet, it's free. I understand what you mean about the baby questions. Sometimes it's nice to be able to help new moms but I'd also like to discuss issues that you can have with older babies.

hello - June 1

never heard of it, is mozilla any good? Too used to what i know which is explorer and thats what the comp came with when i bought it only 2 yrs ago although its as slow as hell or so it seems.... may have to check out cafe mom if i dont have to keep scrolling there to read the end of a sentence, which do u prefer ? This or cafe mom ........

hello - June 1

i remember all the names i would see at this time even like jolou and a sophand bob......... good ole lindsey, all gone........ so many must have just gone to cafemom and forgot to come back maybe, dont know

good question. I haven't decided what I prefer. What urks me about the whole thing is that a lot of people are double posting which makes it a pain in a way to read both forums because you have to sift though what you have already answered on one forum or another. Also, since this has been designated the "drama" forum then you get people being more of a pain in the a__s then on cafe mom where people are on their best behaviour. It's act like a demon on PI and like an angel on cafe mom..But at the same time I find that a bit fake. Ash2 really p__sed me off with her telling me to kiss her a__s and all that on here.. I mean she was nasty with more than one post and then runs over to cafe mom to act like an innocent angel. If she were to stop posting here then I would stay here but it seems that she has time for both ;) The advantage however with cafemom is that you can message people directly.. there is the forum but there is also a way of communicating privately which could be nice.

hello - June 1

i have one hell of a question for here that i seem to be posting every few months in infant care ..... my two yr old barely says any words, god help me please......she says baby, bubba, mumma... nana (for banana) naining for raining.... no (sometimes) me, go, repeats some animal sounds so i have had to do the right thing by her and get a referral to the childrens hospital for a hearing test etc and to see whats delaying this talking......... so thats my little bit of news, i am kinda panicked about it as my mum is really freaking out cause theres so much babble grunting, and uh uh to get what she is after, ahhh toddler section, bout time lol

cendres - June 1

Don't worry too much. I think it is a good idea to get her ears checked out to rule out any hearing problem but some kids just take longer to speak. My niece didn't really speak until she was about 3! She just isn't that expressive but there is nothing wrong with her. Tristan is also "behind". He only says a few words.. and they aren't said very clearly: momma, more, again, cat, car, every once in a while he says daddy. I think at his age they are supposed to say at least 15 words. Does your daughter understand instructions? I mean if she understands what you say that I doubt there is anything seriously wrong with her ears...

hello - June 1

i dont get alot of time for both, most days my little one doesnt sleep but she still goes in the cot for a rest for 45 mins or so , so i can clean up and have a coffee in peace, i will have to check it out cause i doubt anyone cares what we say lol but its nice to say stuff in private also

cendres - June 1

well sometimes I'd like to say a word or two about you know who but I'm tired of her throwing a hissy fit just because her name is mentioned! ;)

hello - June 1

she understands everything i say, just too much grunting and u cant force them to talk, i have even said over and over, i dont understand you, what would u like lol..... a drink, etc etc and u get uh and more uh hah...... i remember i met a single mum at the park, she was such a nice lady and our little ones seemed similar, she said her daughter didn't talk till she was 27 mths and i have always remembered that and i think i will hit panic mode more so at 27 mths, i just remember that number all the time....... tristan is 18 mths isnt he?

hello - June 1

yea you cant talk about anyone in this format haha....... well ya can ... but its not the same, hey sorry about some of the stuff i said the other day, think it was the oncoming period talking more so, i have it now so i think i feel a little cheerier

cendres - June 1

he's 19 months. He does the grunting thing too. Points at things and makes noises about it until he gets my attention. I do the same thing you do. I say oh you want..your soother, a drink, your ball, etc. I always try to give him the right word.. but of course the next time he's still back to grunting at me lol... kids!

hello - June 1

sometimes when stuff is on your mind u vent i guess and whoever is there at the time cops it hah, i have one last question for you that is serious, have any of your friendships changed since u had a child with people that dont have kids
